★★★★★Amazing hotel, a former home of the Maharaja, set back about 100 metres from a busy road. Once inside the hotel’s gates, you will be greeted by beautiful and lush gardens, a beautiful pool and lovely terrace where you can relax with a drink, or have breakfast and dinner. There are only 21 rooms, so never feels crowded , and the rooms are beautifully appointed, with huge bathrooms. |The staff cannot do enough for you, and even the owner and his wife, who are descendants of the Maharaja, are often seen wandering around the hotel chatting to guests. The food in the hotel is fresh and delicious, also has western food if you fancy a change to the Indian cuisine. Every evening a local musician plays authentic sounds while you have dinner, which is a lovely touch. Would highly recommend this hotel in the heart of Jodhpur.

NillVery nice hotel with a pleasant service. As much as I would like to give it 5 star rating, I can’t because we passed 2 sleepless nights there. We had 3 rooms for 2 nights. Both nights a dog barked all night right next to room 106 and 109. Definitely refuse to sleep in room 106x We complained to the hotel, nothing was after the first night at the end of the stay, the management made a nice gesture to remove food from our bill - that’s well appreciated. However best is to deal with the dog owner to ensure that the guests can enjoy the full benefit and beauty of the property.

★★★★★Ratan Vilas is an oasis within the city of Jodhpur. We were greeted by Brijraj the owner who told us about the history of this boutique heritage hotel and the family home. We stayed in a superior poolside room which was authentically designed with large bathroom. The staff here are warm and friendly and they do all they can to make your stay wonderful. There is a restaurant where you can eat inside or in the beautifully landscaped gardens.|If you are thinking about a trip to Jodhpur do consider this wonderful place instead of a large 5 star hotel. You will not be disappointed as it gives you a true feeling of India in a bye gone era with all of the modern amenities at hand.||Thank you Brijraj & Namrata for your hospitality.||Allison & Neil

★★★★★One of the best designed hotel rooms of my recent trip to India. |Muted tones, plenty of bathroom shelf space, a non-slip shower, comfortable bed and a writing desk. |The staff were so pleasant and helpful, breakfast plentiful and beautifully presented evening meals. |The manager intimated they’re almost fully booked until next March and I can understand why. |My first choice hotel in Jodhpur.

NillMy personal favourite hotel of our trip to India. An oasis of calm and just what we needed after almost two weeks of travelling. Staff, food and accommodation was of the highest standard. It had a lovely atmosphere, especially in the evening whilst having dinner.

NillWe spent 16 days in India across 10 locations and we stayed in predominantly nice hotels - but this was the best of them all. Stylish and spacious rooms; great, friendly staff ; and delicious food. Would not hesitate to stay again

★★★★★We stayed here for two nights and loved everything about it. We met the family who own it, and live on site, and were fascinated by their vision and what they offer. The food was home cooked and the best we have had on our trip. Wish we had been booked into similar hotels throughout our stay.
