I wish I could give a negative rating. I booked a Superior category room, but the bathroom had a bucket and plastic curtains. The room was supposed to have a lake view, but instead, it faced the street. The front desk staff was extremely rude. When I requested a room change, they told me there was only one room available and that I could either take it or leave. I strongly advise against booking a room here. I also noticed other foreign travelers at the front desk who were visibly frustrated with the poor service and unprofessional behavior of the staff. First day of my breakfast, i went to the restaurant and they were even ran out of Tea cup and i waited more than 15 minutes and finally i gave up and walked away. Even the security outside always busy with his friends. When i complaint about it. There were no actions. It was a nightmare stay.

Indian might as well not have a hospitality industry because there is no hope. Visiting for the first time and the experience was terrible. Swaroop villa is a boutique hotel I had a lot of hope for, I was disappointed from the start. The staff is lazy and the least helpful, Starting from the reception to the bell boys to the security guard, service was disappointing. We first requested a cancellation due to sickness and the hotel took it upon them to postpone our reservation without informing us about their decision to postpone. Why would they postpone a reservation without asking, I was getting on a flight end of the week and there was no way we can come back here for at least a year or 2. The staff doesn’t care about the customer, no hospitality, no service, we are basically on our own. Room was nice but the bathrooms were beyond disappointing. No one listens to the customers request, hotel is always right, customer is always wrong. They will keep defending themselves and then stop talking and stop giving eye contact to the customer and simply keep quiet, saying I can’t help. We paid so much money for nothing. When we told them about the bathroom, the reception said, “leave if you are not happy.” That’s good hospitality right? They have put so much thought and effort to make the room look very pretty and forgot about the bathroom, hence the reason they don’t have any photos of the bathrooms on their website as well as on any booking platform. We had to get our bedding changed because it had black marks everywhere. Also, Breakfast was a joke! Wifi was terrible. Beyond unhappy and will never make this mistake again. I took one for the team, Stay away from this place and save your money. Pictures are all fake! Not as pretty or big as it looks…. Sangria bar and restaurant was the only good thing here. The service, food, atmosphere and staff were very nice. Live music night was really beautiful. (P.S. I have videos of the room and bathroom but I am not able to upload it here. Therefore I have taken photos from the videos and it’s not very clear)

Located opposite Lake Swaroop Sagar, this boutique hotel beautifully combines Rajasthani heritage with modern comfort. The complimentary breakfast offers a wide variety of options, ensuring that everyone, including my 6-year-old daughter (who is quite picky with food), found something to enjoy. While my daughter was thrilled about the pool, it isn’t heated, making it less useful during the chilly December season. That said, she insisted on a quick swim, followed by a warm shower to thaw out! The only aspect that fell slightly short of our expectations was the Lunch and Dinner at the rooftop restaurant, which could use some improvement. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable stay, and we truly enjoyed the hotel’s charm and hospitality.

Good stay. Clean towels. Lake view was totally worth it. On time service. Cafe "health" food could have been less salty but I guess that could ve been just me. Restaurant has very good Desi food choices.

A Very Disappointing Stay I booked a room at this hotel for the night of the 31st, hoping to celebrate and enjoy a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be far from what I expected. Here’s a summary of the issues I faced: 1. Unethical Charges for Gala Dinner I booked a room with breakfast and dinner included. However, upon check-in, I was informed by the receptionist that they were hosting a "mandatory gala dinner" for which I had to pay ₹3,000 per head. I had no choice but to pay this additional amount, which felt like a forced expense. To make matters worse, the so-called "gala dinner" was just a regular meal, with even cold drinks being chargeable. If this was their idea of a special dinner, I dread to think what their normal dinner service is like. 2. Terrible Room Service Basic amenities were not provided. Even getting water in the room was a challenge. When I requested hot milk for my baby, I was told to contact the restaurant directly. Despite repeated calls, no one answered. When I contacted the receptionist again, he claimed to have communicated with the restaurant, but nothing changed. It took multiple attempts to get something as simple as milk for my child. 3. Rooftop DJ and Lack of Consideration for Guests The hotel hosted a rooftop DJ event, but no seating was provided for hotel guests. It seemed like the entire setup was aimed at outsiders or those willing to spend ₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000. As a non-alcoholic guest, I had no choice but to endure the loud music and vibrations in my room, which made the stay incredibly unpleasant. Overall, this stay was a frustrating experience. The hotel staff lacked professionalism, the services were subpar, and the management seemed more focused on making money than ensuring guest satisfaction. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Perfect stay, food was also good and early checkin facility was given. The best part of the property is you will have a lot of different scenic backgrounds to click your pictures. Room was quite spacious and gives you a royal vibe. I really enjoyed the stay and will recommend to my friends and family.

Swaroop villas in Udaipur is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and a beautiful ambiance. We stayed in the garden rooms, and it was such a delightful experience—the garden was gorgeous, and we had a wonderful time enjoying it. The buffet was excellent, and we loved the variety and flavors. Every corner of this hotel is so picturesque and Instagram-worthy, making it a joy to explore. Honestly, this hotel was one of the highlights of our Udaipur trip and made it extra special. A big thank you to the staff for accommodating our early check-in—it was greatly appreciated!

The highlight, without a doubt, is the rooftop bar, which comes alive on weekends with live music, creating a vibrant and happening vibe. The food is excellent, adding to the overall charm of this delightful hotel.
