SWAROOP VILAS - LAKE FACING BOUTIQUE HOTEL

We recently stayed at Swaroop Vilas during our trip to Udaipur, and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions we made. The moment you step into the hotel, you’re welcomed by a beautiful blend of heritage charm and cultural elegance, paired perfectly with a touch of luxury. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and always ready to help from the guard and receptionist to the room service team, & Shailesh everyone made us feel truly cared for. Room service was prompt and efficient every time. The food was another highlight, especially the breakfast buffet, which we absolutely loved. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and definitely value for money. Overall, our experience was nothing short of excellent. I would gladly rate Swaroop Vilas a solid 10/10!

Hotel expansion work is going on. Small, smelly, old rooms given as premium rooms. But they are basic rooms. Restaurant for dinner no use. For breakfast a few items were kept. Chicken items are not at all good. Google photos are not available at hotel. It's a fraud.

Very disappointing experience at Swaroop Villas. We stayed here recently and were extremely let down. The food was poor in quality, unhygienic, and even caused stomach issues for one of us. It was clear that freshness and cleanliness are not a priority in their kitchen. There was constant construction work going on during our stay, with loud drilling and hammering starting early in the morning. It completely ruined the peace we were hoping for. The room had a strong fungal/musty smell, which made the stay very uncomfortable. Cleanliness and maintenance were clearly lacking throughout the property. Also, be warned — the photos online are very misleading. The hotel looks much more polished and well-maintained in the images than it actually is. In reality, it feels outdated, poorly kept, and not at all like what’s shown on booking sites. Overall, not worth the price. I would not recommend staying here unless they seriously improve their hygiene, stop booking during construction, and provide a more honest representation.

Had a wonderful stay! The staff was extremely warm and welcoming, the rooms were spotless and well maintained, and the ambience made it feel like home away from home. The location was perfect and the service exceeded expectations. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) Beautiful Hotel with Thoughtful Service We stayed at this hotel recently and were immediately impressed by its stunning aesthetics — from the elegant lobby to the tastefully designed rooms, every corner felt curated with care and style. The ambiance was peaceful, and the decor had a modern yet cozy charm that made us feel right at home. Initially, we were given a room located next to an area under construction, which was understandably noisy. However, the staff responded quickly and professionally, offering us a complimentary upgrade to a quieter room without any fuss. Their prompt action and hospitality really made a difference in our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Great interiors, attentive service, and a commitment to guest comfort — we’d happily stay here again.

The Vintage Room, the hotel's in-house restaurant, is highly regarded for its dining experience. The service at the restaurant is described as pleasant and attentive, with the staff being very friendly and professional. The Indian cuisine is a major draw, with many guests calling the food delicious and excellent. The restaurant itself is known for its elegant and cozy ambiance. Located on the rooftop, it offers beautiful views of the lake, creating a great atmosphere for a quality meal.

Nice place to stay with Family and friends. The rooms are nice, staf is friendly. The best part is they have bar and restaurant 24x7 which makes one of the favorite in Udaipur. Food is good too. Guys from bar and restaurant Karan and Om are supportive. The Spa servise provided by Rajiv is good.

Disappointing Stay - Lack of Readiness and Rude Staff||My stay at the SWAROOP VILAS - LAKE FACING BOUTIQUE HOTEL was unfortunately a very disappointing experience. Upon checking in, I found the room was not ready for use. The air conditioning was not working, and there was no kettle, which I had expected to be a standard amenity. It took over two hours for staff to get the room set up properly, which was a frustrating and unnecessary delay after a long journey.||The hotel also has a very restrictive early check-in policy, which I found to be inflexible. Adding to the list of disappointments, the hotel's terrace was under construction, a fact that was not mentioned on Cleartrip or any other booking site. This significantly detracted from what should have been a relaxing lake-facing stay.||However, the most significant issue was the uncooperative and rude behavior of the staff, including the front desk and the guard.||A specific incident highlighted this lack of hospitality. As I was fasting, I had requested an exception to have some fruits delivered. A staff member initially agreed to the request, but when the delivery person from Swiggy arrived, they were denied entry and the guard was very rude to them. This was completely unprofessional and showed a lack of respect for both me as a guest and for the delivery person, whose time is just as valuable.||Overall, the issues with the room and the undisclosed construction, coupled with the unaccommodating and rude staff, made for a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this hotel.
