THE MANGAL VIEW RESIDENCY - A Luxury Boutique Business Hotel

They have thought of everything! One cannot find a single fault with this hotel. This is a one-year-old hotel, and it's the best hotel experience I've had in a long time!||Right from toiletries in the bathroom, extras like dental kit, shaving kit, disposable slippers, mineral water (2 per day), they have thought of everything! ||Rooms have central AC with individual controls, centralised hot water supply.||If you call up reception with a request, you can be sure it will be answered and responded to within 5 minutes!||The breakfast spread is large and varied, with Western and Indian veg options. We were there for four nights, so we got to taste a varied fare every day. Right from fresh fruit (banana) and fruit juice (watermelon), there is corn flakes, sprouts, oats porridge (the healthy options), along with poha, vermicelli upma, mini uthappas, puri-bhaji, idli-wadas. The cooking and presentation were first class!||We tried their lunch options which were always tasty. Please note this is a veg hotel.||Since I may not visit Udaipur again, I would urge prospective visitors to come to this hotel instead of the expensive "lake view" options. It is located in the old city, within walking distance of the main attractions like City Fort and Pichola Lake. There are many shops and eating places within a 10-minute walking radius.

The location of this hotel is very good. 15min walk to the Palace, lake, and the main tourist attractions in the city. The hotel itself has been recently renovated which makes the hotel look clean and modern. However, we booked a superior room and got a tiny little twin room of less than 12m2 compared to advertised 15-17m2. There was not even a chair in the room and the bathroom is so small that you can shower, use the toilet and brush your teeth at the same time. The biggest shock was when we uncovered our bedsheets and found out that they were not changed after the previous guests, there were stains, long hair and body hair all over and other stuff that I did not really want to analyze. Luckily the cleaning staff were understanding and changed all the bedding in front of us. Breakfast is too cheap, two curry sauces and bread/paratha, cereals, one jam, honey, toast and only banana for fruit, not even a dosa, it is a shame because the rooftop cuisine is really delicious. The staff are overall very nice, helpful and friendly. The last inconvenience is that the hallways on all floors are one open space with staircase so you can hear people screaming and kids playing until 1am and again from 6am. I would suggest to book for deluxe rooms and above however their prices become quite high which means that some other luxury hotels in the city might become more interesting. Also, getting a phone call at 9am to remind you that checkout is 10am was not very friendly. I think I would prefer to stay somewhere else and pay a few rupees more next time. But I would happily come back to the rooftop for dinner

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming and attentive, making check-in smooth and easy. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which offered a good variety of options. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!

Nice hotel, Close to city palace. Cleanliness is well maintained. Rooms are good and spay. Hot water available all the time. Breakfast spread is quite ok and standard. Staff is professional. However dinner menu in the plan is repetitive. Taste is good. Rooftop view and ambience is nice. Early check in is payable, not free. Parking available for only 4 wheelers. If you rent a bike, you need to park it on the road. However if you are looking for lake view or nice city view, it’s not the hotel you should look for. It’s on the city side, not the lake side. But it’s easily accessible. Overall good for a budget stay for couple of days depending on the price at which you get it if you book online. Still I would say better to book a hotel towards Ambrai Ghat to get the feel of Udaipur..

+ very smooth check-in and check out experience. + Good, spacious, neat and comfortable rooms. Even the common areas are very spacious and neat and clean. + Prompt service. Very polite and welcoming staff + Close to lake pichola and many tourist attractions are at a walking distance (~1km) from the hotel. +/- Food in their rooftop restaurant is decent/average and is generally less on salt but still solid. You get a nice view of the city palace though and a projector screen where they play music or matches.

Location is very good and parking available though congested but have it. It is in city center and construction is new. Room size was too small and nit a luxury hotel at all but descent stay. Breakfast was nice but roof top restaurant was so good with great service and taste one can opt for dinner or if not staying in hotel still must visit for dinner there as ambience was cozy and view of palace was mesmerising. Had great dinner with awesome taste. We opted for buffet

This hotel grew on us. It’s clean and clinical - the latter being not really what we were looking for. However, the location is great: on a street in real India and nicely placed between the old (touristy) city and the new. The breakfast is average: acceptable, practical but is not going to induce any delight. The members of staff here were very helpful and pleasant. The lunch and dinner is excellent ; there’s lots of variety and really good quality food that is well priced. There’s a rooftop terrace which, although also a bit clinical and lacking ambience has great views. My biggest complaint is the diabolically excessive use of mothballs. My goodness, our room reeked of it. We asked for help from staff. None came so we took matters into our own hands and found 6 under the bed! These are toxic and banned elsewhere in the world. We threw them out but, unfortunately the toxic odour lingered for the rest of our stay. Otherwise a really good stay.

My stay at Mangal View Residency was delightful! The rooftop restaurant offers breathtaking views of city palace at night making every meal special. The rooms were spotless, ensuring a comfortable stay, and the hotel's location is perfect for easy access to local attractions. Highly recommended for a relaxing and convenient stay!
