Hotel Devraj Niwas on Lake Pichola Udaipur

The hotel is very well located. It's next to lake pichola. More than the room and the lobby I loved the dinning setup which is on open terrace. Sitting next to beautiful lake and mesmerizing twinkling lights....having a candle light dinner is to die for. They do set up the fire place on terrace to keep you warm during chilled evenings. Food was delicious.

Lovely clean hotel on Lake Pichola. Nicely decorated old haveli, bed was very comfortable. Only negative was that the drains smelled each evening, perhaps because everyone was running water? We were given a choice of two rooms, the one we chose turned out to be directly under the kitchens which were quite noisy. They kindly moved us to another room across the corridor which was better. Staff were very helpful and friendly, I would recommend this hotel.

Only if the staffs serving food were trained better, the overall service of this hotel could have improved. Have never come across such rudeness and unwelcoming staff in hotel industry. Having requested for an early breakfast before 8:15 am, couldn't be adjusted and was answered with rudeness, that too for an order of plain toast and tea. One should know welcoming nature and politeness are the key in driving a hotel. The rooms were good, the view was nice.

The room and the restaurant pics are attached when you go for a room booking website. But they say the view from the roof is only available for the restaurant which is open until 11:00PM. You can’t enjoy the roof view afterwards. Then my question is why do you even include it in a pic gallery when it’s not combined!!!??? Also the car should be kept in a different parking zone which is 1 km away from the restaurant and paid separately.

I stayed here with my family had a great time. Best part is the location and it's amazing view. We took lake view room it was spacious and clean. The staff members were very cooperative and the food was also nice. All major places are walking distance like city palace, ghangaur ghat, bagore museum, jagdish temple.

This is a budget property near the pichola lake and at a walkable distance from the Udaipur City palace, Jagdish temple, Bagore ki Haveli and Gangaur ghat. The rooms are not that great but the service is okayish. Food on the rooftop restaurant was good.

I recently stayed at Devraj Niwas with a friend for one night, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. We had initially booked the room for two nights based on the clean and spacious pictures shown online. However, upon arrival, we found the room to be extremely congested and not as advertised.The overall cleanliness of the hotel was below expectations, and the entire place had an unpleasant odor. When we requested a refund for the second night from the reservation team (as we no longer wished to stay) their staff member Sonam did not address our issue properly and instead behaved in a very impolite manner. We ended up leaving after just one night, feeling very dissatisfied. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve their service and maintain the hotel’s standards.

I recently stayed at Devraj Niwas with my friend for 2 nights. The staff was very friendly, the hotel location was great, and the food was excellent. The best part was the rooftop restaurant. The property was clean and close to tourist attractions. It was the best experience!
