The best thing about this hotel is the location which is very near to the MG road. The staff is polite & caters to the needs of the customer. Breakfast was provided early morning since we had to leave early for Nathu La. Rooms are spacious with some view of MG road & one a clear day a bit of MT Kanchenjunga can be seen. There is no space for car parking in the hotel however one can park near children's park. If you want a budget friendly hotel just for a night's stay then you can consider this hotel.

The only good thing about this hotel is it is just 5 minutes in distance ( that too after a 60 step downhill step through horribly dirty surroundings) from the start of mg marg. Rest nothing looked worth the price to us. There is another entry just opposite to children's park taxi stand, which makes you walk over septic tanks and drains and even has excreta lying on it. The 'view rooms' gives u a view of mountains- true, but with multiple big obstacles. The mg marg view is just a very tiny portion of your viewing angle, which they claim to be mg marg view. The beds are horribly bad spring beds which are sure to give you back ache. The most pathetic is the behavior of the manager- mr. raju. On face he will be very polite and try to showcase he will give his life for the tourists, but if no extra amenities, like local sightseeing or food is purchased from him with a premium, his behaviour will change completely. Every tour from the hotel, he has cars available- correct, but if you check outside, you are bound to get atleast 20-30% lesser. He told us he treats kids like his own and ensures their food need is fulfilled, but if the party does not take meal from the hotel- the only option they have is rice and dal boiled, at max a boiled egg- not even alu bhaji or boiled alu can be made available for a 2.5 yrs kid. Being asked- he straightaway informs -'go and buy outside, like u r buying for urself'. His checkout time is 12:00 noon, but if the tourists dont leave early morning, like most of the other tourists coming to plains from gangtok, he even stoops as low as stopping water to the rooms, questioning 'why aren't you ready yet.' Thinking we may please him with the hotel's food ( which is only bengali thali by the way), when we ordered 6 plates, we were given stale fish and multiple items written in the menu card as part of thali goes missing, no question can be asked. I strictly don't recommend this hotel- please think twice before taking a risk with your vacation and family.

I Booked Hotel Seven Hills via goibibo for 21st Feb to 23rd Feb after that goibibo called me in the 21st Feb morning and said seven hills hotel is not listed in our app so may you have facing problem for checking so I feel very glad k koi aap itna responsible hai ki khud se bol rahe hai to Maine unse option pucha goibibo suggest me hotel red cherry residency but that hotel is pathetic very poor property location wise is good but there is no any facilities they charged 3k above but not that proper facilities stuffs are good but maintenance was pathetic please don't book this hotel

we booked it through google booking and paid 1600 per room. after staying in another hotel (misty tree mountain hotel), realized that we must have paid at least double the real price. the hotel is in very weird location as one needs to walk through very narrow passage from main road which has some bush and some slum like feeling. the rooms doedn't have fan or AC. while for most hotels you don't find fans and AC here in Gangtok, this one doesn't have good ventilation so it's bit suffocating. people managing the hotel are good. other major issue is the mosquitos one need to deal with. rooms are bit smelly and towels given were not well washed. overall, good option only if you don't have other good option available and if you travelling with bachelors. also don't book online, rather go to hotel straight and book. one should get this for 1000 or less per room after bit of bargain.

Worst hotel. Staff is good but the manager is really bad. Always looking for extra money. He will make sure you have to pay extra money by delaying trips. If you don't pay what he asks, threatens for check out. It is better to book with other hotel. Don't book any package with them. Always he will tell I'm havinoss but he will make maximum money.

Our stay in Red Cherry Residency was very comfortable and nice.location is very near to MG Marg just Two minutes walking distance from MG Marg & Main market. Manager & hotel staffs are nice and coperative always ready to do the needful help.. it was a homely stay.. i booked this hotel through make my trip.. just make a call to manager after booking for your comfortable stay.. my experience was very good........

A great place to be. Awesome view of Himalayas from the hotel. Rooms amd lobby are always clean, staff is very co operative. But not a place to eat lunch dinner. But one of the most affordable and best place to live in gangatok and plus point is it is very near to MG road.

Pros : 1. Very near to MG marg 2. Rooms are very clean and worth money. 3. Staff behaviour is very good. Cons: 1. No kitchen facilities. As there was no chef. Only tea and coffee available. 2. No generator facility. I was in complete dark when light goes off. 3.The shortcut to MG Marg is not good.
