Hotel Sonar Tori

Very very nice place for staying with delicious food. Just infront of main road and besides ropeway station at Deorali. Hospitality is more than satisfactory and all the staffs are cordial. Bengali dish is also one of main attractions. Will Request everyone to come and stay here.

The location is very perfect having the taxi stand anf MG Marg nearby, the rooms are very big and spacious. Especially I would like to mention about the food.Such delicious Bengali food. Every staff and manager were very well behaved providing great services. had a great time being there

I am very pleased by the hotels services and hospitality. The room is well cleaned. Food is excellent delicious making with full hygienic. The hotel is located at a very excellent and peaceful place which is nearby mg marg and view side of the hotel is very beautiful and pleasant.

The room was okayish but the staffs were not helpful at all. The geyser was not working. Even the commode's flush button was broken. We called the staffs for several times for help but they were not cooperating. They don't even clean the dustbin daily.

We stayed 4 days (18.10.2024 to 21.10.2024) in this Sonar Tari Hotel @ 3,000/- per day (1 double bed & 1 single bed). It is very close to Deorali taxi stand or Ropeway, but M.G. Marg is 1 km. from here. Taxi takes 25/- per head to go from this Hotel. Everyone's behavior and food is very good. Room & bathroom was cleaned. TV & Geyser was running condition. I however got Cockroach "Arshola" in my room. This hotel is not 3 stars. The outside view (Mountain or Valley) cannot be seen through the window. This Hotel is not bad for old age persons and kids. Behavior of all the staff are very polite and friendly. Whenever you want to go for side scenes then please verify the rate of Vehicle. There is no parking facilities for own or rented vehicles.

Very good view room and delicious food. Service is also great. It's 10 mins away from MG Marg.

Staffs are not cooperative. Recently stayed there. At 8.20 PM I asked for arrangement of dinner for us but declined my request because of not informing earlier though they were prepare food for other guests. Raining cats and dogs that evening I searched for dinner with in rain. After asking for plates they gave fiber plates upper layer of which cracked. when I returned the same they neither even asked the cause of returning nor replace. Not suitable for family stay.

We stayed in this hotel last month but our experience was really bad . Firstly the comod flush was not working after requesting they changed the room. After day one there were regularly electricity and water problems. The manager's behaviour was the worst. My 12 months was banging on the glass window and he thought he could break it with his tiny hand. He was always talking rudely.They had issues with our travel agent i don't know that might be one of the reasons for their rude behaviour. After day 2 his behaviour was better. About the room , it was small . The location is good though. Gangtok ropeway is only 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. About the food quality I personally didn't find it good. You will get shared taxi from the hotel also.
