The Maple Residency Hotel

We had horrible experience at Hotel Maple Residency, Gangtok. Food and service is ok but in matters of support to guests they don’t care. As it’s seasonal business they know how to extort money from guests. While moving luggage I accidentally broke the Vase in reception area and we genuinely asked them to pay off the damage but without any explanation they asked for 17000/- and as we are in interior field we know that vase was worth of max 2-3 thousand rupees. Their manager Mr. Amit was so rude he told “you have to pay this amount only. we will not provide any bill and will not let you check out and he made us wait and delayed our travel to next destination. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Worst Experience of Gangtok, with special thanks to Mr. Amitji, Hotel is located a good location with good city view, food is good but room amenities are not upto the mark, feels like old hotel. A small incident happen in hotel lobby where in my spouse broke the vase by mistake, and we wanted to pay the amount but they charged us with ₹17000 and the vase cost only ₹3000, we also suggest to replace the vase but Amitji requested to replace on spot which is not possible to replace on spot and harass us and force us to pay ₹17000 for vase, which we where paying but still Amitji delayed our checkout by 1:30hr and harass us and our driver and we all waited for him to just meet before checkout. Thank You Mr.Amitji for making our stay worst and we took the bad memories from gangtok and Hotel Maple Residency. Would suggest to go for other hotel for accommodation, this hotel is worst to stay in gangtok

The cleanliness of this hotel room was exceptional. The bathroom was very clean. The bedspread was also very clean. The staff was very helpful and the service was top notch. The bathroom and room were cleaned on a daily basis. Towels were also changed daily. The food was also good. Would definitely recommend staying here. The only downside was that the room heater was available for an extra charge. You could always ask for an extra blanket and the staff will provide it to you.

Rooms are good.But little darker.There should be more light.Washrooms having bad smell in water. Breakfast was not at all good ,food quality was very bad and even the taste was very bad.Dinner was ok.In washrooms there is problem with geyser in few rooms.As weather is cold so geyser should work properly.first 20 mins hot water was coming den after that again the next person has to wait for half an hour to get water,that I found time wasting.In some rooms they provided wall mounted fan and in some room ceiling fans are there.So in wall mounted one we were feeling very hot at night.As weather that day was not cold.So that day we felt little suffocation.But views are very beautiful from terrace.Ypu can enjoy ur evening on terrace with beautiful view of Gangtok city.

Hospitality 11/10 Service 12/10 Behaviour 20/10 If you're not a big fan of deserts, rest everything is mouth watering here. Whoever comes, remember that you made a right choice so as we did.

Very Good Hotel, restaurant food is also fine. location is 1km from MG Market. Only downside is they don't have Lifts in the hotel, but steps are having shallow rise, hence easily walkable

The hotel rooms are clean, spacious and beautiful with well equipped. Food is very hygienic, and quality and staff at restaurants are humble and polite. The level of services are very good. Quick response by staff on any requirements. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay with friends, family and for couple.

Decent stay at a prime location in Gangtok, near the mall road. 🚕 You might want to take a taxi for 4 at ₹100. 🏨 The rooms are good, but be sure to check them out before checking in, as they all differ. #Sikkim #Travel #India
