Hotel Shambhala

I really loved this place because of its neat and clean and best hospitality served by Karma Ji. I will recommend this hotel to everyone. Also, the hotel is in Development Area which is in the luxury location and have connectivity with other places as well.

Hotel Shambhala was absolutely amazing, and owner Karma was extremely helpful and kind. He truly went above and beyond to help our group with taxis, excursions, recommendations, airport shuttles and more. We had arrived in Gangtok originally staying at another hotel, thought after arriving knew we needed to switch to a better hotel. Thank goodness we found Hotel Shambhala, it made our stay so much better. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the service was outstanding and the location was very convenient, a short walk to the main drag M.G. Marg, with many hidden gems along the way. I would absolutely recommend Karma and Hotel Shambhala to anyone looking for a great time in Gangtok.

Rooms are very well maintained, linens are spotless. They take absolute care of the cleanliness. They also go overboard to cater to any specific request of the guest. Karma, who manages the hotel, is a wonderful person and very helpful. He is courteous and very punctual. Food is also very homely. I will give 6 stars to their service.

I had a mixed experience there. The rooms were very clean and quite decent. Location was great, walkable distance from MG road. The manager was nice and accomodating however, i really disliked one thing. He used to enter the room in my absence, to turn of the switches. I know he didn't take anything. Somehow the way he talked led me to believe that he is trustable. But still the act of entering the room in someone's absence makes you question the trust. I do believe that his intentions weren't wrong, that it was just to check the switches, but still it's a wrong practice and makes you doubt on whether the intentions are right or not.

This gem of a hotel is situated away from the glaring noise of the town (10 mins) . A great pocket friendly option with a warm and friendly management running the place. The establishment was super clean and organised with its cute lil dining space. Had a great stay at Hotel Shambhala.

My family trip to Gangtok Sikkim was an unforgettable one and the Shambhala Hotel where we stayed was a standard one with excellent service. Would like to come again in future.
