OYO Himadri Inn

This is a beautiful hotel. It is just a five minutes walk from the main road, big and clean rooms, complete with all amenities and at a very reasonable price. The view from the balcony is gorgeous especially in the evening looking over the entire city. The staff will make you feel welcome and well taken care of. We stayed here for many days and it felt like home. Highly recommended!

We booked Hotel Himadri Inn online, and the problem with online hotel booking in a mountain region is you are given a 2D map which makes it impossible to understand which way the slope is. Indeed that is not the fault of the property. This hotel is very very good and is moderately priced. The staff was good (speaks Bengali, Hindi, Nepali, and working English) and the food was nice but a little overpriced so after the first day we preferred to eat outside. Tadong bazar is not far so if you prefer to eat outside that is not going to be a problem. There is a stairway shortcut to the hotel in front of the Westside ahead of Khangree petrol pump. Otherwise you can take Baha'i School Road. But the stairs are very steep and the approach road is steep too. So if you are not in a personal car (like if you take a share taxi) then it might be a little problematic for elderly people. If you are coming from Siliguri in a share taxi, ask to get down at khangree petrol pump right after Tadong market.

Rooms & toilets are neat & clean , decorated , large & well maintained and had nice view. Hospitality was awesome, staffs are cooperative specially the Manager @Sindhu ji , unforgettable. Wonderful experience overall and definitely value for money. Undoubtedly if visited Gangtok again I'll definitely stay here and will also strongly recommend to others (couples / family / group).

Pros: Good Neat and clean, Big spacious rooms,well Ventilated, all basic amenities available in the room. Price is good and economical. Cons: Not easily reachable by roads, Steep climb, Room service is little on lower side, Cleaning and water service not done daily.(Rooms are quite clean n maintained)

It is a very good hotel to stay.. even though it is a budget hotel the rooms are very nice and the food was good too. Hospitality is nice. People, don't waste your money on costly hotels if you plan to stay in hotel only on nights. This is one of the cheap and best hotels. I recommend this hotel if you are going as group but not for honeymoon.

Hotel is located at peaceful area and you can see mountain view inside the rooms. Service to good as well as food also. If we plan in future then we will go this hotel again.. manager and hotel staff are too good.

Great Experience with this gem of a Hotel in Gangtok. Great location - 2 Mins to Main Road and 10 mins to MG Marg Awesome Rooms - Huge Suite like rooms with all basic amenities present like Electronic kettle, sofa, geyser, WiFi etc. Rooms are Mountain facing....with awesome views Excellent Hospitality - Just one word ...u are treated like a King. The Manager and the support staffs are very helpful and always treat you with a smile. Overall an excellent hotel with a reasonable charge. I strongly recommend this to you all.

Courteous staff and good hotel amenities for a decent budget. Had a wonderful experience of staying at this place. Only disadvantage would be the location of the hotel, but the view and cleanliness in the rooms compensates for it. The staff helped us a lot with our stay and sightseeing in around Gangtok.
