Hotel Chennai Gate

This hotel staff's show attitude like a 5 star hotel but the reality they rooms was poor and ac was not working. If you informed to receptionist any of electrical equipment problem so he simply say "electrician check the same" but no one come for checking. Even, they don't like to give another room if not well. Only one advantage available that is very near to Egmore railway station but if you looking budget friendly with good quality so better to take minimum 1km far away hotels from the Egmore railway station. Because most of nearby Egmore railway station hotel's are old building or poor maintaince but cost of rooms will be chasing to 4 star category hotels.

Even though I have stayed in many hotels, I have never found a bad hotel like this, the behavior from the reception was not right. There is no intercom to call the reception, when I asked it was broken, there is no cable in the TV, there is nothing but soap in the bathroom, and when I asked for a towel, they brought it and it was torn. Bedsheet Pillowcover Blanket is the oldest and has a bad smell. I endured everything because I came from Kerala and my Tamil was not good.I do not recommend anyone here,and also receptionist was very arragent..

All who wishes to get a room here kindly remember to bring original ID cards of all incumbents ... other wise they blatantly refuse to give rooms ...if I pre booked the hotel means I would be in trouble ...

We booked two rooms in Hotel Chennai gate. Air conditioner of a room was not working and we complained about that three times... they came and checked but got no outcome. When we discussed about the problem to Mr. Sai at the reception, he was not ready to help. In fact he was not ready to listen. We were just telling them because other customer after us should not suffer. When we said that we will put review about the incident, he become so arrogant and started talking rude like do whatever you want to do and all.

The location is just opposite to Egmore railway station. Much opted for person traveling on untime. Rooms were decent and will be comfortable for middle and upper middle class family.

Raciest staff : the receptionist denied me to show me anymore more rooms and kicked me out with comments of “we r too costly for you” … “ we don’t have time for people like you”

The hotel team is very friendly and supportive for new traveller's like us. They guide you without any hesitation. The restaurant here is also good 👍

The main advantage of this hotel is it is just opposite to egmore junction.. Rooms are avarage. The rooms smells a bit like the one which is locked for few days... However, after opening the windows for sometime it becomes normal.. The management could place room fresheners like air pockets to improve the feel.. However, lighting is good inside the room for the price range. Good for group of friends to stay
