Royal Hotels Kodaikanal

It was a horrible experience staying in this hotel. We came here as a group at night and the food they gave us was raw that night. The chicken curry was raw and blood was pouring out of the chicken pieces. The rooms were not even decent and the bathrooms were leaking in our room. The bathrooms flush was leaking and our rooms got flooded with water in the morning. This hotel is not recommended for people who search for good food, hygienic rooms, it is just a budget friendly hotel so kindly consider your preferences and book this hotel at your own risk

Location center of city. Good parking, rooms good. Staff helpful Only problem -online booking price through GOIBIBO was hight. We paid 5500 for 2 rooms. If u directly approach the same hotel u could get rooms half the price. Dont book online during off season

We went in first week of february. Rooms are spacious. Bathrooms are clean. Hot water was available from 6am to 9am. They provide towel, soaps, shanpoo in bathroom. Cupboards are clean. They provide driver accommodation too. Budget friendly and huge parking area. Cooperative staff and very easy norms of check-in check-out. Getting hotels in this price is kodaikanal is tough and that too when the facilities are upto mark. I can always choose to stay here whenever i visit kodaikanal instead of some famous names who charge haphazard money in the name of breakfast. Please be aware in kodaikanal of such high fancy rates. It is of no use. Go for such moderate range as kodaikanal has lot of sight seeing places and you will hardly spend any time in hotel. No complaints from these hotel ! Call them on the given number here and directly book offline instead of any third party platform. They are genuine and it can help you save service tax.+ Cost is actually lower than makemytrip or trivago or ibibo

Our recent stay at Royal Hotels, Kodaikanal was truly a wonderful and memorable experience for our family. Traveling with kids always brings its own set of expectations and needs, and I must say, Royal Hotels exceeded them in every aspect — from food to lodging, staff behavior, and the overall support we received throughout our stay. First and foremost, the food deserves a special mention. Every meal we had was freshly prepared, delicious, and catered to a wide range of tastes. The breakfast spread was elaborate, offering both South Indian and continental options, ensuring that adults and kids alike found something they enjoyed. The kitchen was also very accommodating when we requested less spicy or customized dishes for the little ones, which speaks volumes about their commitment to guest comfort. The dining area was well-maintained, hygienic, and had a cozy atmosphere that made every meal feel special. When it comes to lodging, the rooms were spacious, neat, and thoughtfully arranged to cater to families. The bedding was extremely comfortable, and extra amenities like additional blankets and pillows were provided promptly on request. The housekeeping staff ensured that our rooms were kept spotless every day, paying attention even to the smallest details, which made a big difference when traveling with children. The beautiful view of Kodaikanal's greenery right from our room added a magical touch to our mornings. The behavior and attitude of the hotel staff were truly commendable. They treated our kids with warmth and patience, which made us feel very much at home. It’s rare to find a place where the staff genuinely cares about making your stay comfortable, but at Royal Hotels, this was evident at every step. Another highlight was the level of support provided by the hotel. From the moment we checked in, everything was handled seamlessly. We were given helpful tips about local sightseeing options, taxi services were arranged promptly, and minor concerns (like a heater adjustment) were addressed immediately without any delay. The hotel also provided good indoor activities and games to keep the children engaged during the evenings, which was a big plus for us as a family. The hotel’s location is perfect — close enough to the main attractions yet nestled away from the busy areas, giving it a peaceful charm that we greatly appreciated. The surrounding gardens were well-maintained and offered a safe place for kids to run around and enjoy themselves. Overall, Royal Hotels, Kodaikanal made our family vacation a truly special and stress-free one. It combined great hospitality, excellent food, clean and comfortable lodging, and truly wonderful staff support. We are thankful for the beautiful memories we created during our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend Royal Hotels to anyone planning a trip to Kodaikanal, especially families traveling with kids.
