100-acre eco-property in the Palani Hills.||Around 20 km from Kodaikanal, and 8 km from Perumal Malai Junction.||Located in one of the top 25 global biodiversity hotspots (Western Ghats).||Close to Perumal Malai, a scenic trekking destination.I enjoyed the stay with delicious multicuisine food.

I had travelled there with my fiance and our friends in 2019. The room is a granite cottage with stones on the outside and wooden work in the inside. It gives a very rustic, cozy and wilderness feeling. Our room was about 700m away from the reception. For many people that is a bummer but for us it was a treat because we both liked to walk the cross walk with forests on both sides leading to the dining area, to the valley and a very swingy yet sturdy bridge over a river flowing in cross section and then walk on grass with a walkway made out of stones leading to our cottage. The first night was adventurous because my fiance and his friend had gone to the cottage and we were waiting for them at the dining area. Suddenly, it started pouring cats and dogs and became pitch dark. To reach to our cottages, a person got us umbrellas and carried one umbrella in one hand and torch in the other. When we were crossing thje valley, the other friend of mind slipped backwards and hurt her ankle. I picked her upand with my support I managed to get her to the bridge. Because of the rains the bridge had become very slippery. Me and friend both of us were about to slip but caught hold of the rope. Somehow with the help of ropes on both sides, we crossed it. When we reached the end of the rbidge, the guard asked us to step backwards. He could sense a wild animal in the dark. He used the torch and could see the yellow eye of the elephant. initailly the elephant had his eyes closed and only opened it for 2 secs thats when he spotted it. It escorted us back and we ended up staying in another rooms. Talking about food, its the most healthy and pleasurable food there is. There pamper you with dosas, omlette, poha, english breakfast like sand witches, tea and coffee. The dosas feel like eating small portions of cloud because they are that light. Overall I would say a fabulous experience.

This is my special place, I have been here almost 3 Times in the past 10 years, first came here by 2015. This is property is not everyones cup of tea, this is not some fancy rezort type but has all the necessary essential resources, the nights will be loud sound of stream and forest which I prefer but some may not.

My experience at Elephant Valley was nothing short of magical. From the property to views to food, everything was really good. I was meeting two school best-friends for an annual reunion. We had a very sweet time. The cottage assigned was gorgeous- it was clean, the beds were comfortable and the views were beautiful. We only ended up eating dal, rice and chapati- because the most basic meals tasted divine. The coffee was delicious too! There's a lot of area to explore- to walk around in the property and outside too. The entire staff is very kind and helpful. Mr. Mani was very accommodating to our requests and needs. To have a good time here, all you need to do is respect the nature and the resort's rules and they will make sure to make your experience worthwhile. I genuinely cannot wait to go back again!
