This is one of the best hotel we had stayed during our travel trip. Hotel is not in congested city area, it's away from it, and it is close to Taj Mahal - approximately 3.5KM. Hotel has private parking in front of rooms, which is inside main hotel gate so very secured. Rooms are very spacious, well maintained, clean. All basic toiletries were provided neatly. Food was good too, although cost according to quantity was slightly on higher side. But, overall experience was good, and highly recommend to those who are looking to spend a night way from traffic while maintaining easy access to main attraction of the city.

Hotel Garden View Resort, the name can easily give one an impression of a pleasant and restful resort in the midst of all the hustle and bustle in the city of Agra. The pictures of the hotel posted in the internet are meant to attract tourists with the promise of clean air, peaceful surroundings and luxurious rooms with all modern amenities. Pretty enough by my opinion, to draw any tourist who is longing to relax for couple of days in Agra. I, being a mortal human, was drawn to this hotel by the same way. Room tariff appeared reasonable considering the benefits of a resort. My mind having already made, without further ado, I went ahead and booked my stay in advance.||||It did not take me long enough to realize the blunder I had committed. And being a responsible traveler, it is my duty to share my ill-experience and caution my fellow travelers who are considering Hotel Garden View Resort as a place to stay in Agra.||||We were a family of five members travelling from Kolkata. We reached Agra Cantonment Railway Station in the morning and were looking to hire auto rickshaws to take us to the hotel. The very first thing that I found out upon enquiring, that there was not a single auto rickshaw or taxi driver who was aware that a hotel by that name existed in Agra. I was a bit taken aback, because considering it as a resort and its expanse as showcased in the internet, I was expecting the opposite. Luckily, I had the detailed address and with the help of Google Maps and GPS, I was able to locate and convince a couple of auto rickshaw drivers to take us there. The hotel is about 6kms from Agra Cantonment Railway Station.||||As soon as I got off, it did not take me a second more to realize the reason behind such reluctant nature of the auto rickshaw drivers and why the locals were not aware of the hotel’s existence. It stands in the middle of nowhere with a highway running in front and virtually no access to auto rickshaw or taxi stands. Let alone transport availability, there is not even a single shop, a tea stall or an eatery close to it. It was clearly indicating that not too many tourists venture into that part of the city.||||The hotel is spread over a large compound with lush green well maintained lawn as huge as a football field which it rents for marriages and other ceremonies. This two storied hotel has a porch in its ground floor and a large common-for-all veranda in the first floor. They also provide free two/four wheeler parking facilities within its sizeable compound. All this can easily give one an impression of a good old circuit house in the outskirts of the main city.||||Rooms are large, spacious and adequately furnished, and to tell the truth, I liked them at first sight. However, when looked closely, one cannot deny that the hotel is in a dilapidated state. Plaster falling off the wall, doors without bolts and eaten away by termites, non-functioning plug points, lizards clinging from the wall clearly suggest that the rooms lack proper maintenance.||||Even if you are lenient enough to not criticize the room condition, there is no way one can can excuse the poor room services. Most of the time room service calls go unattended and even if they do attend, it takes them ages to understand and respond to the call. Let me narrate one such instance, when I had asked for drinking water in my room. It took them an hour to bring it, and that too after I had to call them up twice and finally I had to come down to the reception desk to check what could have possibly gone wrong due to which it was taking them so long for a simple request as that of drinking water, and that too neither cold nor hot! Upon asking, the person behind the reception desk bluntly replied that they "forgot".||||The hotel is managed and looked after by a handful of young unprofessional local staff and I doubt whether they even have proper hotel management qualification. They even lack separate dedicated teams for cooking and housekeeping. They do lack the sense of hospitality which is an utmost requirement for running a hotel.||||Food was average, but it was served fresh and hot. They do not have restaurant and bar facilities and are thus incapable of serving food 24X7. They can only take food orders till 10:30 PM at night. And due to its location, one does not have much of an option other than to have food there itself.||||The only brighter side of my stay at this hotel was the big spacious room which appeared to be clean. Bathroom too was spacious and clean. Do not expect hot water. Although, they would claim that they have the provision of centralized geyser, rest assured you will not get any service out of it.||||The room I stayed was Air-Conditioned, although it did not have a remote control. When I asked for one, I was told that they have misplaced it and I will have to manage without the remote. The room had television, intercom, tea/coffee maker. The hotel provided free WiFi which was however pretty mediocre.||||Overall, the rooms were not at all the money was worth and it fails to live up to the promises, and deliver the facilities they have claimed to provide on internet. I did not have a pleasant stay at this hotel and I will refrain myself from recommending this hotel.||||Agra is a densely populated city with many tourists visiting all over the year. I certainly do not think that finding a good budget hotel within the city which can meet one’s basic requirements is difficult. All that is needed is to understand, analyze and look through the false claims and pictures available in the internet. Instead, look for feedbacks, suggestions and reviews posted by certified travellers.||||Rooms Booked: 2.||Stayed: 2 nights (11/10/2016 - 13/10/2016).

The staff was very helpful. While it is not as close to the tourist attractions as some other places, getting an Auto was very easy. Room was clean and AC worked fine, so sleeping was easy enough. Would recommend if looking to avoid paying high prices for hotels with more famous names.

It is a nice place to stay with family and friends. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is very co-operative and friendly. They go extra mile to serve the guests. I wanted some medicines and they arranged for it at 11 pm in the night. I will love to visit the hotel again!

This place is located next to double tree hilton and this is also a venue for ceremonies like marriage. The rooms are built right next to the laaj gardens hence the name garden view resort. Rooms are clean and spacious. All facilities and amenities as promised are available and service is upto the mark. My only gripe about this place is the availability of food. They do have a kitchen but they can only provide room service meaning there's no restaurant. Also when we ordered food they took nearly 2 hours to cook and serve it to us so I am doubtful about their capability of serving food. Apart from that this is a good place to stay. Also there are many restaurants nearby so this shouldn't be a problem.

Stayed there for 2 nights as part of family wedding. The service was pathetic. Actually there was no body to look for service. In room Bathroom Towel condition was such that it appeared that it was used for sweeping floors. When asked for replacement the caretaker manager told that all towels have gone for laundary and will be available only next day. The extra mattress provided in evening was wet with torn and filthy covers ||||Will never recommend this property to anybody for even a short stay
