The Orchid Villa Homestay

I had a wonderful stay of almost one week in Agra and highly recommend these accommodations, especially for solo female travelers and anyone looking for a comfortable, hassle-free experience. The accommodations were clean and had everything I needed, including powerful air conditioning and fast internet, which was reliable enough for video calls and online work. The neighborhood was safe and walkable, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and ATMs. Plus, it was within walking distance of the Taj Mahal and the Taj Nature Walk, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. The best part of my stay was the hospitality of the hotel owner. He was incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to assist with everything—from arranging transportation to the Taj Mahal and a tour of Agra Fort to helping me get souvenirs at fair prices. He even helped me with last-minute plans for the Holi festival, organized an airport pickup from Delhi after I missed my flight, and ensured I had snacks and water for my early morning departure. His prices were very reasonable, and he coordinated every detail seamlessly. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay in Agra, with a friendly and attentive host who truly cares about his guests. I would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with friends. The owner of the hotel helped to organize a taxi, book tickets to the Taj Mahal and a tuk tuk around the city. The hotel is located in a quiet and clean area. Walking distance to the Taj Mahal along a well-maintained street. clean sheets which is very rare in india. kettle, heater, air conditioner in the room. good value for money.

I am a single travelling woman in India and got really sick when I arrived to Agra. The host was really looking after me, made sure I have enough to drink and rest and organised medicine for me. With his help I bounced back quickly and could explore the Taj Mahal :) he was very kind and caring and I can highly recommend this place to stay in Agra - especially for single travelling women! I stayed here for 1 night at the end of Dec’24. One my best experiences in room stay and staff. I hope other hotel should learn how to have neat and clean room at reasonable price. Taj Mahal is very near to the Villa within 2km.

This small, fairly new homestay is run by a lovely family in Agra. They were so helpful and kind. Arif the owner and his son Rayyan, and their staff are lovely.|Arif's wife and older daughter make excellent food, too.|Bashir the tuk tuk driver is so good. As a solo female traveller, I felt very comfortable, safe and well looked after.|Lovely quiet area, too, & not too far from Taj.|

I stayed here in first week of Dec'24, nice behaviour from everyone at homestay. Room and washroom washroom was very clean. Location is little far from station (9 km) but very near to Taj Mahal- within 1.5 km. Food was also good.

That's one of the cleanest hotels in Agra! 😀 The staff is very nice, patient and helpful and will get you anything you need. We arrived very late in the night, but the owner was waiting to welcome us. The hotel is located in the quiet area. Our room was not too big, but cozy. The only small drawback is that you can hear "through the walls" and the bathroom ventilation opens onto the corridor. Other than that, it's a really great place for the price! P.S. I regret I have no other pictures than the one attached 😅

Its location is very close the Taj Mahal and room was very clean with hot water shower. Breakfast was also excellent and staff were nice and kind. It is really good for female solo travelers. The hotel arranges guides and taxi drivers for the travelers so very convenient for the people who travel alone.
