Terrible experience. Booked 2 rooms — one for me, one for my parents arriving late night. I had the key for their room since afternoon, but when they came, the door was locked from inside! Reception’s reaction? Completely casual, no urgency, no proper solution. This is not hospitality — it’s sheer negligence. If you care about service and safety, look elsewhere.

❌ Disappointing Experience at Gulmarg Hotel Our stay at Gulmarg Hotel was far below expectations. The receptionist was extremely rude, and the staff seemed entirely money-minded. Despite booking an AC room at a high charge, not even a cup of tea was complimentary, even though we arrived early morning. The room was unclean, and we were given one on the third floor with no proper room service—when we asked for water, we were told to come down and get it ourselves! There is only one drinking water cooler at the entrance, with no other water arrangement throughout the hotel. If your train is delayed or there's an issue, they force you to pay for a full extra day, showing zero humanitarian understanding. The only plus point is its proximity to the main campus, but otherwise, the hotel is in poor condition with unprofessional behavior.

Absolutely terrible experience at Hotel Gulmarg. I wish I had the option to give negative ratings here. 1. Room: The cost for AC room is 1200/-. But it doesn't justify the price. At this rate, any decent hotel will provide a clean room, a clean mattress with a clean bedsheet on it. But there was absolutely nothing. The room was extremely untidy. The mattress was filled with dust. The bedsheets, which we had to ask for, was untidy. I don't think they even clean the sheets. 2. Staff and reception: The staff, especially at reception, are extremely rude and unfriendly. The act like they are doing us a big favour by giving us a room here. Even though it's the other way around. They don't know how to talk in a professional manner. Not even polite. Overall, I would recommed this hotel if you're a pest. As it is not suitable for humans. The only reason this hotel is still operating is because of it's proximity to the university. Clueless people who have no idea come here and get stuck here. I would advise my fellow students to rather pay extra money to stay in some other hotel rather than giving these people money. PS: If any staff from Hotel Gulmarg is reading this, please improve your facility. Otherwise i hope your hotel goes bankrupt. Pathetic.

Decent rooms at a pristine location. Easy to reach and well known. Rooms are spacious and internal cafeteria is also available.

Very bed experience and charging water bottle price bedsheet and towel quality are so bad un trained and also un polite un professional people are working there very bad service

It was a nice hotel.Rooms were neet and the washrooms clean.Food was also ok. Just the stairs part,it sometimes smells.
