Hotel Garden View (In Lap of Nature)

Rooms are tiny, foul smell in the rooms, TV not working, Staff have no idea how to serve guest and if you complaint about somthing they do not come with the solution, no other basic facilities are provided (like water glass in the room, toilet paper, clean rooms etc) by the hotel staff. Dharamshalas may be better as compared to this hotel.

On arrival in Hotel Garden View, the staff informed that they "do not allow foreigners" in this hotel. So there I was, a foreigner with no accommodation in Allahabad at appriximately 10 PM, exhausted after all-day journey. The staff didn't answer why I was not informed about this in advance. To be clear, I had booked the hotel via Booking over a week earlier, my name was clearly foreign and I got confirmation of my stay from this hotel. Finding out at the doorstep that you are not allowed in a property is something that never happened in my life, anywhere in the world. No need to say this was a very unpleasant and unnerving experience. I would stay away from this place.

I am tour operator. I have my own tour company. I am member of Travel Agents Association of Nashik (TAAN) Maharashtra, India. I booked 10 rooms for 20 guests, I had seen Worst Hotel I came across. No Management, No cleanliness, no service, no breakfast. This is actually froude. Never trust on reviews & photos of this hotel. They charge more than actual deal at time of confirmation. Didn't provide breakfast, rooms & overall hotel lobby not clean. Staff is very rude & unprofessional. I informed my various travel groups, association & travel companies about this bogus hotel

To be clear, I had booked the hotel via Booking.com a week earlier, my name was clearly foreign and I got confirmation of my stay from this hotel. Finding out at the doorstep that you are not allowed in a property is something that never happened in my life, anywhere in the world. No need to say this was a very unpleasant and unnerving experience. The staff "kindly offered" me to stay in another hotel of the same owner, at a higher price, which I was forced by the circumstances to accept. The other property, Hotel Cosmopolitan Rooms was supposed to be of a higher standard hence the higher price. Let me attach pictures of this higher standard hotel that Garden View got me - full of cockroachers, dampness, dirty sheets and fungus. I suggest to stay away from this place and owner.

Stayed at this place on 18th-19th July with family. I had done the booking a month in advance. And asked for a first-floor room. Booked it for triple occupancy. But when I reached there, they asked me to pay 500 Rs extra (than what was committed for a triple occupancy) for an extra bed. They had allotted me a room very next to the reception which had no windows or any sort of ventilation except AC. Please note, the hotel has only front facing rooms with windows. All other rooms DO NOT have a window. On our request they gave us front facing room (with window) on 2nd floor. The hotel is going through renovations and that's the biggest problem we faced. The room allotted to us did have a geyser but without connected pipes. Same was the situation with most of other rooms. We were given suggestion to take bath in other unoccupied rooms and stay in this room. The other front facing room on 2nd floor was having same issue. We asked why don't they just buy a pipe or get pipe from other unoccupied room - they declined, and their plumber refused to visit. So ultimately, they promised they'll provide hot water in buckets - for which we had to call multiple times. Same happened the next morning where we had to leave early for a pooja at Triveni sangam. We called at 6am at reception for hot water and for next 30 mins there was no one. Then I had to go searching for the service boy, wake him up and then he started the service delivery slowly. It took us another 1 hour. Same was for providing water bottles - the service was very very slow and it needed multiple calls / visits to reception to get things done. It's not worth staying there. Avoid if you can find a better option. Cleanliness in the lobbies was another issue. Bathrooms were cleaner comparatively. Bedsheets were stained. Only positive is the location of the hotel and it's connectivity (through e-rickshaw) to anywhere across the city. Also it's not very far from the railway station.

First of all THERE'S ONLY 4 ROOMS WHICH SHOWS GARDEN VIEW. Now, I'll suggest you to come & then book a room. It's a okaish hotel, if you have to visit outside of this hotel then it would be perfect to stay here. Rooms are okaish, clean, ac was working properly, 24×7 electricity. Slow service. Not all rooms have windows. I had my room with a window. They do provide plates & glasses. No food facility, but you'll find momos corner beside the hotel.
