Ginger Dehradun Rajpur Road

I stayed at Ginger Hotel expecting a certain level of cleanliness from such a reputed brand, but was shocked to find hair on the bed linen + towels & everywhere with stains upon arrival . For a brand that markets itself as professional and customer-focused, this shows zero hygiene checks and poor housekeeping management. Clean bedsheets are the most basic expectation of any hotel stay. This is not just a minor inconvenience — it’s a sign of negligence that can damage customer trust. I hope the management takes this matter seriously, improves training and supervision of housekeeping, and ensures that no guest faces such an unpleasant experience again. As a paying customer, I feel compelled to make other travelers aware: Big names do not always guarantee basic hygiene

We stayed for 4 nights. The quality of food stands out the most. It's better than most of the top restaurants around the city. The menu also includes regional dishes like alu jakhia, so good. Almost everyday we had their Dal Makhni, gentle, creamy and it doesn't hurt the stomach at all. Second best thing is their prime location on the Rajpur road, next to Sai Baba Mandir and a Monastery, I enjoyed going for serene early morning walks. The staff is courteous and helpful at all times. Used the gym as well, includes basic treadmill, and weights. Ample parking space. 25 mins from the railway station. Ginger has just recently opened in Dehradun, apart from the hotels location and rooms something that needs to be appreciated more than anything is the current staff’s impeccable hospitality. Everyone in the team was courteous, and by that I mean each and every staff member working at the hotel. A few names of the staff members that were known to me were Hemant, Raju, Lavanya, Manjeet, and Sudhanshu. The Chef - Chef Rajpal, was outstanding with his breakfast and preparations. Ginger and Tata group are doing great with this new venture in town, my absolute recommendation for your stay in Doon. PS: The view and the gym were just the things I needed for my trip, thanks Ginger ;)

I recently visited Ginger Dehradun for dinner with my family, and we had a wonderful experience. Vishal and the entire team took great care of us with warm hospitality and attentive service. They gave me a room for ₹5000, but this hotel is extremely poor. The service is absolutely third grade — whatever room service they provide is always incomplete. They don’t even offer a cake facility, and when I ordered a cake from outside, I had to go and collect it myself from the reception at midnight because they refused to deliver anything from outside to the room (they did this 2-3 times). The breakfast was also incomplete — there was no poha, no parathas. I just want to tell everyone that there are much better options in Dehradun for ₹5000 — please don’t waste your money here.

It was a great place and all the staffs are very good and comfortable …….. specially @Raju and @ sudhangshur. and @ Hemant Labanaya ….This hotel is really good and new property..

The hospitality and location is very good. The food is also good. But as i was told its only been 4 days that the hotel opened, it didnt look like one. As its owned by Tata group i expected it to be better as it looked like an old hotel was purchased and renovated by Ginger. Plus rooms were good, though small in size but still acceptable, but the washrooms were so so small. Even a 2000/- per night hotel has a bigger washroom. It was just too conjusted. Thats why 5 🌟 for service and location but 3 🌟 for room.
