It was a great experience, friends, nature's retreat and heavenly food. Everything was near perfection. Feedback 1) install permanent fans in the attic and rooms as it is hot in the day till September 2) internet had problems even jio network was shoddy 3) the couches in the downstairs room could be wider like upstairs as they are more comfortable.

My recent mountain staycation was nothing short of incredible. The adventure begins with 600m walk or hike through local farms n houses and finally arrive at Shoonya. Nestled among breathtaking views and apple orchards, the location offered the perfect blend of peace, nature, and comfort. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome—with their warm smiles and attentive service. The accommodation was cozy yet modern, with all the amenities I needed to relax. Mornings were greeted with stunning clouds dancing through hills and reaching to our balcony as if we are floating in them and even get to experience sunrise over the peaks, and evenings were spent with mesmerising sound of beautiful birds and insects under a clear sky full of stars. What truly set this stay apart, was the kind behaviour and it was the prompt and helpful recommendations for hikes, and warm smile and greetings of locals. I left feeling refreshed and recharged. If you’re looking for a mountain retreat with great service and unforgettable views, this place is a must.

I recently returned from a solo trip to Mukteshwar, and staying at Aranya Agosh by Shoonya was hands-down the highlight of my journey. Nestled amidst the serene hills, this place is a beautiful blend of aesthetics, simplicity, and sustainability — every corner feels intentional, peaceful, and incredibly grounding. The architecture and decor reflect a quiet elegance, seamlessly merging with the natural surroundings. Whether you're watching the sun rise over the mountains or just enjoying a book by the window, every view feels surreal and almost dreamlike. The hospitality at Aranya Agosh is truly something special. Mahima and RK, the wonderful hosts, have created more than just a place to stay — they've built a space that feels like home. Their warmth, conversations, and attention to detail made my solo trip feel both safe and deeply enriching. And I can’t talk about my experience without mentioning Chef Arya ji — his food was an absolute delight. From flavorful local Kumaoni dishes to impeccable continental meals, every plate was a celebration of taste and care. Each meal felt nourishing in the truest sense. Aranya Agosh isn’t just a stay, it’s an experience — one that invites you to slow down, breathe, and truly connect with yourself and nature. I can’t wait to return. Highly, highly recommended for anyone seeking beauty, calm, and soulful hospitality in the hills.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Shoonya nestled in the heart of the mountains! The location is a dream, surrounded by breathtaking views and lush greenery, with crisp, pleasant weather that made every moment outdoors refreshing. The resort itself is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, offering cozy rooms that feel like a home away from home. The highlight, without a doubt, was the food. Every meal was a delightful experience, with wholesome, home-cooked dishes bursting with flavor. From hearty breakfasts to soul-warming dinners, the menu featured fresh, kumaoni meal that made every bite feel like it was prepared with love. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, ensuring every need was met with a smile. We would love to visit Shoonya again and create wonderful memories for life. ✨

Had a wonderful experience at Shoonya. It's located in the middle of farms giving it such amazing views of trees full of apples,plums,peaches & apricot trees. Rooms are beautifully done giving u all the comforts of a homestay. The delicious food by the chef along with the exquisite view of mountains is such a delight.

Shoonya is an absolutely amazing property—just as beautiful as shown in the pictures, with breathtaking views all around. The stay feels peaceful and refreshing, surrounded by nature. One of the highlights was the delicious, fresh food served here—every meal felt homely and satisfying. The staff is incredibly helpful and humble, always ready to assist with a smile. A big thank you to the wonderful hosts, Mahima and RK, for their warm hospitality and for making the experience so memorable. Highly recommend this gem for a perfect getaway!

We stayed at The Ivy Suite at Shoonya—a cozy, beautifully designed space with two interconnected rooms and charming attic beds, perfect for families. The en suite bathroom was clean and well-equipped, though an additional attached washroom would’ve added more comfort. There is another washroom outside, but kids found it a bit inconvenient during the rainy season. The property is surrounded by lush greenery and fruit-laden trees—plums, peaches, apricots, pears, and apples, that kids loved picking straight from the branches. The views of the mountains were stunning, and the short scenic walk to reach Shoonya (about half a kilometre through village paths and farms) was surprisingly enjoyable, even for our 3-year-old. Shoonya’s home-style meals were delicious and kid-friendly with moderate spice, though you need to place orders in advance, which can limit spontaneity. A major highlight was the spacious entertainment-cum-dining room filled with board games, books, toys, musical instruments, and art supplies, something for everyone, kids and adults alike. A perfect blend of comfort, nature, and slow living—highly recommended for families!

We stayed at Shoonya and absolutely loved every moment of the experience! RK and Mahima are incredible hosts who made sure our stay was not just comfortable, but truly memorable. The staff is also extremely warm and attentive, adding to the overall homely vibe. The rooms were spotless, beautifully maintained, and had the coziest vibes, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. You can even stargaze from the charming gazebo at night or soak in panoramic mountain views from the top of the property. The common space is another highlight; whether you want to just chill, play some games, or share a hearty meal, it’s the perfect spot to relax and connect. And oh, the food, it deserves a standing ovation! Every dish we tried was a 10/10, from momos and bread pakoras to shahi tukda, paneer lababdar, and biryani. Each plate was pure joy and felt like it was cooked with so much love. Beyond the food and comfort, RK and Mahima’s warmth and local expertise made our trip extra special. They guided us to some of the most beautiful treks and hidden gems around Mukteshwar, giving us experiences we’ll always cherish. Getting to the property was seamless too. We had someone waiting at the main street to help with our luggage, which made things super easy. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Shoonya, it’s the perfect blend of comfort, amazing food, cozy vibes, and heartfelt hospitality. And if you’re a dog lover, you’re in for an extra treat because you’ll get to meet Apple, the sweetest dog ever! 🐾 Shoonya isn’t just a stay it’s an experience you’ll want to relive again and again. ❤️
