Krishna Resort Guptkashi

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We booked three rooms for two nights and faced issue after issue: The geyser never worked, so at 5 a.m. when we had to leave there was no hot water to bathe. When we requested the staff to have fresh breakfast at 5 a.m., the receptionist bluntly told us “the chef is sleeping” — instead they pre-cook at 2 a.m. and serve cold, stale food at 5 a.m. The rooms are filthy. We found caterpillars on the bed sheets, huge spiders behind the beds, dusty bed sheets and spiderwebs everywhere. The TVs don’t work, adding to the poor experience. While we went for Kedarnath trekking, the staff asked us to pack and keep our bags in the room so they could move them to the store room. When we returned, our bags were indeed in the store room but were tagged with marker and room numbers without our consent. During checkout, I even showed the receptionist a video of the spiders and caterpillars on the bed. The only response was a blank face and a raised eyebrow, not even an apology. Overall, this hotel felt more suited for insects than humans. The hygiene, service and staff attitude are absolutely unacceptable. I would strongly advise people to avoid this place entirely.

We booked this resort a month in advance, but upon arrival, the owner informed us that we would have to adjust elsewhere due to overbooking. Only after insisting did they finally provide us a room. Unfortunately, the room was in terrible condition — filled with spiders and lacking even the most basic hotel amenities. The food quality was extremely poor and completely unacceptable. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Definitely not recommended.

We have booked this hotel during our Visit to Kedarnath. We have booked our Helicopter trip from Narayankoti station and then one of the person met us in journey and referred this hotel. We were impressed with his review and booked this hotel. We also had same experience very good hotel with nice ambience. People are so friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Food also very tasty.

Location is good, but very close on road, parking is not adequate. Service is poor, didn't served break fast when it was included in plan saying that it's after 8 am but served it to guest for whom it was not included in plan. Very bad behaviour of staff. No telephones in rooms you have go to the reception upstairs every time if you need some things and person at reception says that hotel staff is there in a room, you have to find out in which room they are, even if found them they will not listen to you and you will have to again go to the reception upstairs.
