Rooms are good enough according to the room rent they are offerings but there is some electricity problem in the sense that they are difficulty in getting continuous electric supply without mcb trips, because of which sometimes customer may face hot water issue in bathrooms. But, anyways my stay here for one more day as overall experience is ok.

This hotel has gone down in every aspect of hospitality. Be it room quality or staff nature, complete hell! We booked 4 rooms and for extra bedding they are taking charges of more than a room. We asked to book extra room instead of bedding but Despite the rooms were available they are pretended that they are not available so that they can scratch all the penny in name of bedding ( 3rd person). Totally disappointed

Pathetic Customer Service. Greedy Management. I checked in on Friday and within a couple hours informed them that I plan to extend my stay for one more day. I offered to pay for the next day immediately. But the receptionist names Amit said that he will let me know next morning at 10 if that was possible. He said he will have to check if there's another booking for Saturday. I told him to check immediately and if there's no booking then reserve the room for me. He said he can't check now and will let me know next morning at 10 am. I said 10 am is too late, then he promised me to inform at 8 am. Next day he called me at 11:30 am asking me to check out as room is booked by someone else. I protested that you were supposed to tell me at 8 am and he responded that he was busy doing other important things. I tried to make them understand their mistake but they weren't ready to accept it. What I understand is that these folks were waiting for some online booking that would have given them a few more hundred rupees than what they were charging me. They could have checked for any booking instantly and reserved the room for me but they chose to wait the entire night for some online booking as it was a weekend. They are a bunch of greedy people who have no concern for guest. Their customer service is also pathetic. The phone didn't work and I had to go downstairs to ask for soap, towels and drinking water. They ruined my whole trip due to their greed and bad service. Pls don't stay at this pathetic hotel.

Stayed at Yellow Guest House since 27th December, and have no plan to move away as I believed this will be the best one can find in Rishikesh. ||||Reasonable price, room from 400rs, quiet location, friendly staffs, good food serve local and Japanese Food(one of the best in Rishikesh), and the attentive, guests oriented owner - Jai, made this guest house unique and special. ||||The best thing that happened to me on the 1st Jan 2016, I received a card and a rose on the doorstep, to wish me Happy New Year. A big smile and happy mood has brighten my first day of the year, and I believe it will be continue for the rest of the year too. ||||Under the arrangements of Jai, me and other guests on the same guests house, went to the mountains - Kunjapuri 1,676m, 15 km from Rishikesh, to see the sunrise over the Himalaya Snow Mountains, it was the most unforgeable trip ever, the best trip ever. We shared the taxi, and all of us enjoyed the first day of year 2016 together. Feeling loved, blessed, and heart was filled with blesses and blisses. Thank you Jai and friends. ||||The hotel is clean, comfortable, blanket and pillow are nicely washed and are very clean, bathroom is clean and nice. Hot water is more than good to have a good shower during this winter. And, many guests move here from other Ashram just to get a day or two good shower, and to get some good food other than the designated food provided in their yoga ashram. ||||Food is considered cheap, big portion, taste nice compare to other restaurants.. ||||Located at Tapovan area. Hidden in a quiet path from the busy main road. no noise of traffic, no horns, peaceful and clam little place. ||||Strongly recommend it to all my friends who want to do yoga in Rishikesh, if you are not staying in Ashram, this will be the best place you can find with a budget of 400rs to 1000rs.

I stayed here for 1 month whilst studying and really enjoyed my stay. The staff were always friendly and easy going with nothing being too much trouble. It was always clean with decent wi fi. Always fresh filtered water available and good location.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. There are frequent power cuts and it gets a little chilly at night and in the early morning (especially in the bathroom), but the staff will gladly provide you with a second blanket. It's only 2 minutes walking distance from the Anand Prakash Ashram and 10 minutes to reach Lakshman Jhula and about 20-30 min max to reach the main Rishikesh attractions. It's located in a very quiet area where you won't hear honking even if you are a few minutes only walking distance to the main road and shops. The merchants in the area are not persistant like the ones in Lakshman Jhula area. The staff of Laxmi Guest House are very nice and attentionate. The guesthouse also has a nice lounge area and japanese restaurant (the owner's wife is Japanese) and they serve delicious and tasty food for reasonable prices for Rishikesh. Unfortunately, the wifi is slow but is enough for usage requiring less data like whatsapp, facebook and emails. The guesthouse has a nice rooftop patio with beautiful mountain views. They also offer laundry service for 10 Rs/piece which seems to be the norm for India. You will get clean and well-ironed laundry for this price. You can also handwash your clothes in your bathroom using the bucket provided and hang-dry on laundry lines on the rooftop (laundry clips available).

I recently checked in this hotel worst experience I ever had. Stinky rooms, dirty linens. lots of dirt all over the floor and furniture. Tv only for showcase. Jhaadu Tak nahi laga rakhi thi room mai. The only good thing is Hot water. Don't waste your money, it's better to book a dorm nearby.

Hard to find at first but great location if one wants to escape all the honking noise. Short walk to everything you want to see and do in the Rishikesh. After a couple of days we found some shortcuts and walk to the bridge was just 5 min or so. Our bedroom (309) was nice and bright with a private bathroom and plenty of hot water. Jay is a very attentive owner. Always around, cheerful and helpful. He helped us to find a good travel agent in town who made our Indian vacations much easier. Free wifi not always worked but Jay was trying his best. We really enjoyed our stay at Yellow Guest House. Thank you.
