OYO 5811 Seacom Inn YMCA Esplanade

I have stayed 3night at YMCA and had good experience. However, this time after booking, Front desk people seem good. Room is Big and clean, AC is set at a certain temperature but good enough to provide cooling. A kit was given with soap, shampoo, tooth brush and stuff which is good. Bathroom was clean and hot-cold water available.Bedsheet was little torn but clean, Towels were clean too. Locating is mind blowing, food joints and everything is walking. Famous park street is walking and metro station is nearby. Taxis are available right outside YMCA and Museum is next to the YMCA. If going, don't keep very high expectations but yes the money I paid have no complains as such.

Rooms were clean, cooperative and super helpful staff. The location is AMAZING for anyone visiting Kolkata for tourism. All tourist attractions are located within a short walk/drive from here. Park Street metro on blue line is barely 100 meters from the hotel. Highly recommended for families and couples who are travelling on a mid- budget trip.

I have stayed previously at YMCA and had good experience. However, this time after booking, I saw OYO associated with YMCA which made me nervous. I did not have good experience at all with OYO previously and always try to avoid it. Not sure what is Seacom Inn and how they are linked with OYO, anyways, with all the doubts I reached there, forgot to mention I got a message a day prior about my check-in and they helped me with metro gate and all which was good. reached around 11:30 and check-in was 12 pm, however, room was given in no time. Front desk people seem good. Room is huge and clean, AC is set at a certain temperature but good enough to provide cooling. Bedsheet was little torn but clean, which matters most. Towels were clean too. I think they have a generator too for power cuts. Locating is mind blowing, food joints and everything is walking. Famous park street is walking and metro station is nearby. Taxis are available right outside YMCA and Museum is next to the YMCA. Room service is good but do need improvement or training. I ordered bread toast and tea, while tea was good and strong, they simply toasted the bread and did not add butter to it which is funny. Who easts toasted dry bread without butter :-) Morning breakfast was served in the room which had (1 banana, 1 boiled egg, 4 lucchi (poori) and a vegetable grave) I guess this is enough to start your day along with Tea which again was good strong. Half liter water bottle is given, rest you can either buy mineral water or go for their RO water which is free. All in all next time in Kolkata, I will be at this place which is nearby market and value for money. If going, don't keep very high expectations but yes the money I paid have no complains as such.

Booked a deluxe room. The room and bathroom was clean. Geyser is available with clean water. Service was very good. The staff were really friendly and decent. The New market is nearby. Metro, taxi, shopping, food spots everything is available within a few minutes of walking. Breakfast is complimentary and they served it fresh and hot. Room service was also good.

A very nice hotel in low price category around this area. Rooms are very large, it's very old building so have a heritage vibe. Bed is comfortable all amenities are working. Washroom is also kept clean. They provide fresh towels, toiletries also. There is a restaurant also so you order food in the room, I didn't order much, I am tea lover and didn't like the tea much here. Stay was very comfortable staff is super helpful and nice.

I Had breakfast here, Service was good and fast. The tables were a bit dirty as renovation was going when I visited it. Hopefully it will be renovated soon. All the paintings were original and ambiance was nice. There was a chandelier. Comfy sofas. The paintings was a nice touch. Cons: Due to renovation there was no menu card, the old menu hard was at cheaper rates. And the new rates told to us were a bit pricey compared to old ones.

If you want to have a five star hotel experience in a homely atmosphere, then keep it in your bucket list. It's as simple as that. Room services, stsffs, rent - all are incredible, within most of our reach. The only drawback is the old patterned doors and windows which allows plenty of harsh winter breeze to get into the room even when they are fully locked. On the contrary, it's not even an issue in summer. So, enjoy your stay there in a lovely heritage house with care and affection of the staffs.
