We stayed at The Peerless Inn, Kolkata for two nights. The overall experience was pleasant. The room and bathroom were excellent—clean, spacious, and comfortable. A special thanks to Ms. Neha at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful right from check-in and arranged our room very quickly. We are especially grateful to Mr. Somnath, his hospitality truly stood out. “Thank you” doesn’t feel enough to express our appreciation for his kindness and service. We also had the chance to try the Aaheli restaurant for authentic Bengali cuisine. Every dish was absolutely delicious. The restaurant manager, Mr. Sanjib, was very warm and made us feel truly welcome. The breakfast had a good variety and the food was delicious. However, the staff at the breakfast restaurant were not very polite and lacked a welcoming attitude or smiles, which slightly affected the morning experience.Overall, our stay was wonderful, except for the breakfast restaurant staff’s attitude. We would definitely recommend Peerless Inn for its great location, comfortable rooms, and exceptional hospitality from key members of the team.

The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata – A Classic Experience My stay at The Oberoi Grand was truly memorable. The hotel beautifully blends old-world charm with modern luxury. From the grand colonial architecture to the warm and professional service, everything felt top-class. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. The food at the restaurants was delicious, especially the breakfast buffet with so many fresh options. The staff are polite, always ready to help, and they really make you feel welcome. The central location is another big plus—perfect for exploring Kolkata. The pool area and greenery inside the property offer a peaceful escape from the busy city. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but worth it for the comfort, quality, and hospitality you receive.

I chose to stay in this hotel for my first visit in Kolkata. As a lady traveller travelling alone I must say that it was the best decision I had made. Prasenjit and Sudha made it so special. They took care of my room cleaning just the way I like it at home. They ensured that the room decor was changed just to my needs. Specially the blinds as I can sleep in pitch black room only. The staff here are caring and courteous.||I will remember this hotel and visit again as it made a positive impact about the city on me.

Location of this hotel is just perfect.|I have dust allergy and I have a asthma. I usually stay in 5 star hotels due to my condition. This was the first time I chose this 4 star hotel. I was skeptical at first but the way Dharmendra and Prasenjit went out of the way to change all the room linen and made sure it was dust free well ventilated room.|Shiva and Shreyashi coordinated the entire arrangements from the front desk. I am happy to say that I have made friends and I would always return here when I come for my business meet

Grandest of Grand hotels...the old world charm & the nostalgic feelings. If you plan to stay in the Esplanade area...do stay in Hotel Grand Oberoi. You get a very good bargain at a range of 5k to 7k for a night, double occupancy during peak seasons for a big suite with all comforts. You will love the decor & the amazing bengali/ Indian cuisine. Always recommended.

Surely one of the oldest properties of Kolkata. Elegance and Beauty still gives youa confidence to come back again and again.||Some aspects about the food area on the first floor needs immediate attention. There's a marble block in front of a huge mirror. It's slowly turning black. Hence either the marble block should be changed or there should be some other decorative materials in front of the mirror to cover the white marble.||Food and service and staff behaviour was is and would always remain fabulous.

Dirty and dusty everywhere. Washrooms were dirty as well. Breakfast was okay but not suite for international travellers. Tried to switch to main building for cleanliness reasons but it was only slightly better. Would not recommend. Please stay at JW Marriott and be better off

Very poor service. The staff specially housekeeping staff is very impolite.|I stay for corporate visits frequently but hardly face any issue with good hotels in Kolkata. The housekeeping staff also appeared to be dishonest . I was charged for multiple items in the mini bar however some items were never kept in the minibar itself. The housekeeping staff named Prasanjeet would even blatantly lie to charge the customers. You should avoid this hotel if you wish to have a pleasant stay.
