BIRBHUM GUEST HOUSE

A very basic hotel at Shyambati area in Shantiniketan. Room was small and conjusted and not properly clean and maintained. Washroom was below standard. Not value for money. However AC worked properly and road connectivity was good and 6-10 min walking distance from Shantiniketan ashram area.

Owner doesn't care about the needs of the guests. Served us with stale and spoiled food. When requested for little boiled rice and some vegetable curry, in exchange of money, for an aged person who got sick, they simply refused to serve it. Also mishandled our identity cards required for checking in. When questioned about it, they simply got ignorant. Hotel staffs are really helpful and good. But the owner(Mr. Ankit) and manager are the worst and non-cooperative, their behavior is utmost rude and inhospitable.

reasonable and location is very good..most of the places of visit you can manage by walking..right on syambati market area..atm is also near.

Pros : Location is good as it's nearby to the market and main road. Cons : Room service is there but no-one will do cleaning service. Internet is there but it's too slow that you can't use it. Tv is there but remote doesn't works properly. Bathroom doors don't lock properly. Bedsheets have lots of holes.

Good rooms in upper floors. Nice and cosy rooms at reasonable rates.

Rooms are clean and there enough space, bathroom space also quite enough, geyser available, location is in prime place, there restaurant is beside, nice decorated you can order food in room, no extra service charges.. Indian foods are really good in reasonable price but chinese i didn't liked much.. Overall good experience..must recommended..

My parents suffered pathetic experience here. The manager is uneducated and does not know hospitality at all. They demander unfair room price even after paying advance. He was very rude and impolite. My parents had to visit Shantiniketan Police Station and with Police's help they agreed to provide room.. I would suggest no one to go there

I just checked out today morning. It was fabulous experience. Room was totally clean and affordable. Secure hotel and couple friendly. I forget to ask the name of manager dada, he was great person, very polite and respectful to all his guests. Food also very testy. Sonajhuri marketing us just about max to max 10 min walking distance. Also you can reach Santiniketan campus within 15 min walking. Also many toto service available . Overall experience with Birbhum Guest House was really great. Must recommended guest to stay. Thank you. I'll visit again. 😇
