One of the decent property in Thekkady and every penny spent on that is worth.... Main location but interestingly all the rooms have forest view with sit-out where you will surely enjoy your leisurely time... Reception team is cordial & helpful.... Restaurant is good with reasonable menu option & rates. The one area that requires improvement is B/f as all the items were too cold incl. side dishes like sambar chutney Worth exploring this property and surely you will enjoy

The massage was like any other regular massage nothing special about Kerala Ayurvedic oil or massage. The room was dirty and so was steam room. The girls doing massage were nice but they were not focusing on any special points. I’ll not recommend this place.

We went for massage on the 17th of December. We booked for 8pm and were there at 8.15pm for 5 people and we paid 17,500 rupees for the 100 minute massage (which was overpriced even for foreigner rate). The manager, who is short (we didn't get his name), sold us the experience well saying this would be very relaxing and beneficial which would last at least 6 months. He said if you are not happy, we will return money back straight away. When we went: - the workers were rude and not accommodating - (in Malayalam they were saying as we came late, they should kick us out etc. thinking we wouldn't understand) - they didn't do the massage properly and cut parts out as they were not happy to see us and when they found out we spoke Tamil, they spoke a different language. - they rushed the experience and didn't use the whole 100 minute massage time. - In addition to this, it was not hygienic and took less than 2 minutes to clean everything even though we were naked on the table. As all 5 of us did not enjoy the experience, the next day we went to complain as he was not present when we had our booking. When we went, the manager started screaming at us and spoke extremely rude (nothing like before) and started pointing his fingers in my face, presumably as I was the only women out of the 5 of us. He started accusing us and went back on his words. In the end, we ran out of fear in case he started to attack us. He is a scammer looking to make money off of people. The experience was terrible and we got nothing out of it other than a ton of oil to get off our body and hair. This is not worth the money and time and would never recommend this to anyone. This ruined our holiday and we do not wish for anyone else to experience this as well.

One of the best places in Thekkady for a massage! You’ll usually get confused with so many massage parlours around. This one offers the best package with the best service. The staff is also very polite and humble. They’re very sweet and make sure you’re very comfortable. The place is also maintained very nicely! Great experience!

Rooms are good for stay,hotel location is also nearby to city but food and room services are not that good, also they have different charges for resturant and hotel they charge for water bottles too..

Worst hotel that I have visited so far. Not suitable for family. I stayed with wife and a small kid they made our life miserable and had to check out much earlier. The rooms were dirty, unhygienic, the bed cover and lining were dirty. One of the male receptionist showed lot of attitude and they are like local goons who will stand around and scare you. Please do not choose this hotel if you are staying with Family.

Ranger Woods, located at the gates of Periyar National Park, is my go-to lunch spot for group tours. The food is decent, and while the service can be a bit slow, the taste is satisfactory. What truly stands out is the incredible view from the restaurant—you get a breathtaking glimpse of the forest. If you're lucky, you might even spot a deer while dining! It’s a great place to relax and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Periyar National Park.

Spacious rooms, service was below par, location is strategic, bathroom curtains were dirty. View from the balcony was good. Overall - recommended.
