Casa Rio Resorts Athirappilly

I was traveling for 2 nights with my kids- a 10 yrcild and 6 yr old. We had a fantastic stay! The food was brilliant, rooms (suite) were big and spacious for families, all the staff was very cordial and helpful that made our stay safe and comfortable. |The hotel is not huge and spread out like some of the resorts in kumarakom etc which gives it a cozy homely feel as well. The rooms dont boast of luxury but are comfortable and spacy. ||The hotel opens up to the Chalapudi river on its rear side and you have a pretty view of the athirapally waterfalls from there as well. On can walk into the river banks and play/bathe in the river! (Make sure you dont go in too far and do not attempt this in monsoons/ when the river is too rough).|They have a well maintained pool, beautiful gardens to stroll around. |The gym is basic but functional and will do perfectly well over a short visit. There is no indoor kids play area though they have some slides and swings and a giant chess board outdoors. ||Overall-5 stars!

If I could give infinite stars, I would. The hospitality at this resort has been nothing short of extraordinary. The staff went above and beyond, making my stay truly exceptional. The food is outstanding, and every meal has been a delight. My room was spotless, comfortable, and the attention to detail really stood out. The location is perfect, offering breathtaking views of the river from the patio—a serene and scenic escape. This resort has set a new standard for me, making it the perfect start to my Kerala trip.

We stayed in the resort 2 days ago for 2 night's. I must say staffs were very friendly. There is a view point from where we can see the falls. It is nice and beautiful. Although there is room for improvement. All rooms had fridges but none of them worked. There was a gate to the water but it was so muddy that it was impossible to go. Staff’s initially said they will assist and then later said we have to go at our own risk. Food was not that great other than the breakfast which was nice. Overall for the money spend for the rooms I don’t think it’s worth.

A wonderful resort just 400 meters from a beautiful waterfall! The food was delicious with a good mix of local and international options. The staff were friendly and always helpful, making sure our stay was comfortable. Clean rooms and a peaceful atmosphere—perfect for a relaxing nature retreat! Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the food I was surprised while tasting matter paneer it was finger licking, Kerala paratha with local chicken preparation is a must have. I couldn't convey my thanks then, would like to say that now It was amazing. The view is 🤯😇. You all made our travel memorable. |Thank you all.

The property as a whole is an excellent one. Fully covered by greens. The Mannan suite we have stayed has two portions . one is a big living room and another one is a big bedroom. Both the rooms are very much spacious .|Maintained very neat and clean.|| When we entered our suite, already AC was switched on and we had a chilly entry in the room, probably since we informed our exact arrival time💝||And the front desk team Alikesh and co were so nice with a great smile. The service of the Chef should not go unmentioned . I think Mr Jacob is the chef. Apart from his hospitality in the restaurant the food items were amazing and so tasty. Especially the taste of one variety of a Pasta is still lingering on our mind 🥗||Apart from that, the view of falls and the sound of flowing river from the sitting area near the river was so good. The snacks and the tea served on the bank of the river was unforgettable memories 🍄||Room services were also so good. All our needs like towels water bottles top up of coffee/tea sachets were done in a fraction of minutes ||OVERALL AN AMAZING AND EXCELLENT STAY OF THREE DAYS AND TWO NIGHTS WE HAD IN CASA RIO 🌺🌺

It's villa type property. They have two rooms in a cottage. Lower ground and upper ground. Rooms were of large size. I felt little scared to walk to both rooms as lighting was really bad and floors were slippery because of rains. Location is okis. You won't get any view from room. Only view visible from hotel of waterfall is from common deck. That view is also not great. Partial view of waterfall from far far away. Because this property is in jungle, mosquito and insects are another issue. Pool looked great. However, we didn't try the pool. Food was good. No complaints. Hotel staff was very helpful.

We arrived late and left early so it was a short stay. The rooms were huge, and the bathroom was nice. However, there is a huge condensation problem and the AC needs to be running the entire time so the floors aren’t wet. The walls were also falling apart so there was debris falling on some of our belongings. The staff was nice, however, and there’s river access right by the property. You can also see birds and monkeys on the property itself. Food was just OK, nothing special. There is no view from the rooms, you only see jungle.
