The Felmel Resort

The resort has breathtaking views and a scenic swing, but overall it didn’t feel worth the high cost. Our side room needed better cleaning and design (the blue ceiling lights were anything but cozy), and service was slow since staff needed owner approval for simple requests. The infinity pool looked amazing but was impractical — too deep along most of its length, unheated, and uncomfortably chilly, leaving only a small shallow section for non-swimmers. Accessibility was another issue: steep stairs led to most attractions, and return rides weren’t complimentary. Food also disappointed, with dishes lacking flavor and care. A beautiful setting, but it needs stronger upkeep, accessibility, and food quality to match the price.

There is one thing to be said about the location and aesthetics of the resort; it is simply stunning. The rolling hills abounding with tea leaves, the morning mist and cool breeze will linger in your memory for a long time to come. With that said, there were several shortcomings on our trip that left a lot to be desired. In the house on the right, one of the bedrooms had an outlet that was not functional due a prong from a three-pin that had broken off. This was likely leftover from previous guests. Thankfully, the staff was able to remove the pin, but this was an inconvenience. The left bedroom in this house had fecal odor emanating from the toilet. The staff's solution to this was to leave the windows until 7pm (we checked in around 3 or 4pm). We were about doing the activities (glass bridge, swing, etc.) so we did not need to endure the stench. This was not acceptable. The staff should have resolved this issue prior to our arrival. There was a empty bag of chips underneath the bed in the honeymoon suite. The room adjoining the honeymoon suite had recently been cleaned when we arrived. The smell of the cleaning solution was pungent and took a few hours of vent to subside. Across all rooms, the showers were stocked with miniscule amounts (~15 mL) of cleaning products (shower gel, shampoo, and moisturizer). This is not sufficient for one individual let alone two. I recommend that the bathrooms be stocked with larger bottles of cleaning products. When we spoke to the manager about this issue, he was understanding and agreed. We were very excited to use the pool as soon as we arrived. However, the water temperature was numbingly cold. The temperature during our stay was between 20-23.5 °C. Therefore, the pool temperature was certainly below the recommended threshold of 25 °C. I realize that the resort cannot control the weather, but given the relative cooler climate of Vagamon, I would recommend making the pool heated so that it could inviting at wider range ambient temperature. The dinner we received had mixed reviews from our group. Some people didn't like it and some people were still hungry. However, the breakfast buffet was excellent. I was not planning to write a review, but I felt compelled to because of the actions of Mr. Binoy Joseph, Felmel's Public Relations Manager. Someone in our group left a negative review for the resort and Mr. Joseph a few crude, derogatory remarks that I do not wish to repeat. I am not trying teach someone how to do their job, but having working in the service industry myself, Mr. Joseph's demeanor is very unprofessional. Admittedly, it's not great to receive criticism about your service but it's an expected part of the job. I'm writing this in hopes that someday the owner of the property will read my review. Please observe the pattern of Mr. Joseph's responses to reviews. He graciously accepts positive remarks, but resorts to ad hominem attacks and defensive retorts for negative reviews. Please advise your Public Relations Manager to act more professionally. Given our experience, it is hard to give a higher rating. The cleaning standard can be improved. And some staff can be trained for a higher standard of service. This property is in a amazing location and it has huge potential for the future. If these things are improved, then I'm sure future guests will appreciate it.

One of the best place to spend time very peacefully with your family. The resort is located at the hill with mountain range views without any noise. We can chill there with our loved one without any disturbance. Also they spotted some unique photo shoot points especially the Glass Bridge and the Heart in which we can explore the views of the mountains and it's one of the best experiences. Highly recommended. The only concern is that the way to the resort was somewhat hard to reach out. But it's not a big deal. Maybe in the future they may arrange proper road facilities. Anyway everything was good there and I was happy to stay there. One of the best memories ever.

This is a delayed review. The location is good, rooms were also decent but the service is not promising. They had three cottages for which they charged different charges. We booked two cottages through an agent for which one was costlier than the other.. Only after reaching there did we realize all three cottages are the same with regards to the facilities and size. The only difference is the interiors and they claim to use premium materials for the interior for costlier ones... One cottage is near the pool and obviously it was the costliest which was occupied by another family. The weather was rough that day and the facility ran out of power backup and after seeing the water supply also cut in the morning while small kids were being bathed and the property staff doing nothing to assist us, We had to take water from the swimming pool using buckets while the staff just stood there. They won't let you bring your own food if you are planning a family get together and a peaceful BBQ night. They'll give you a very limited menu from a local restaurant downtown and just bring it for you. I complained to the owner in the morning who was not from that place.. Even though initially he tried to not take any responsibility by claiming he was not managing the property, at the end he refused to speak anymore after reducing 1000 rupees from the final bill. The staff was unprofessional and rude and told me these troubles could happen even at our homes, and we had to adjust and tolerate . I was surprised to hear that from a resort who charged us a premium for the service which they did not provide.

Very very disappointed with this place, especially if you're coming with family. Very little options for activities and need to walk long distance down very steep stairs so never come here with elderly or anyone who's not too well physically fit. I would not recommend this place for how how priced this place is and how poor the food quality is.

"Amazing Staycation Experience!" I had a wonderful stay at the resort with my Family. The overall experience was amazing — from the beautiful surroundings to the relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy great service!

I spent a day with my cousins. We booked Premium and Superior. Both are look like same. In this two, we have 4 bedrooms with balcony. It was really amazing experience. We got a lots of nice pictures from there. We spent 2 hours in the pool, Nice view from the pool.
