One of the worst stays I have ever experienced in Varkala and absolutely not worth the money. The AC was not working, the cooler was also faulty, and we were forced to manage with an old table fan in extreme heat. The staff admitted the AC would take days to repair and had no backup solution. Instead of helping, they immediately suggested that we cancel our booking and move to another stay they recommended, which felt suspicious. The room was poorly maintained, with torn and stained bedsheets, damaged curtains, ants, lizards, a large snail, and other insects inside. The surroundings were gloomy and poorly maintained, and the entrance was through a narrow dark passage that felt unsafe at night. When we requested a refund due to these issues, it was denied, and instead of addressing our concerns, the staff argued with us, making us feel stranded and helpless. The entire experience was stressful and frustrating. Do not trust the photos online. Check the property in person before paying. There are far better places to stay in Varkala.

Worst hotel experience ever. I booked this place because it is near the beach, which is the only positive thing about it. Everything else was a total disaster.Danger for Solo Female Travelers: Ladies traveling alone, do not book this hotel under any circumstances.Warning for Couples: Even if your partner recommends this place because of the beach location, refuse to book it. Your safety is not worth the risk.Completely Unsafe: The property is isolated, dark, and entirely unsafe for women.Zero Staff or Support: There was no one on-site. Not even a hotel manager was available when we needed help or felt unsafe.Disgusting Location: The property sits right beside an open, foul-smelling sewage line.Pest Infestation: The rooms are dirty and crawling with lizards and insects.Nightly Blackouts: Every single night we suffered through frustrating power cuts.Terrible Rooms & No Privacy: The indoor lighting is incredibly dim, and the bathroom setup has massive privacy concerns.Do not risk your safety, privacy, or comfort here. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

A beautiful place ruined by poor management. The rooms are beautiful but takes forever to cool. Only ambient lights, no proper lighting. Even the plumbing has issues. Enterance also has issues. If well maintained the place can do wonders coz it is right next to paapnasam beach.

It is not worth for the money. The entry to the stay is through a narrow dark passage. Is not safe during nights. The rooms are designed beautifully but I would not recommend this stay. The fan and AC was not working properly, when asked about it the incharge asked me to spin it with finger. Irresponsible staff. No room service, poor parking. Better go for some other stay

I booked this hotel through Agoda. The hotel staff called me and asked me to confirm the booking by paying an advance of ₹2,000, which I paid. When I visited the hotel, I was shocked. The hotel is located next to a big sewage area. There was no proper bathroom—only an open tub. Lizards were running around, and the rooms were old, dirty, and poorly maintained. There was no privacy at all. I asked for a refund, but they started arguing with me. I even thought of complaining to the police. Finally, I left the place because I didn’t want to spoil my vacation. Please don’t fall into this kind of trap.
