Last week, we visited Datarwadi Resort near Kihim Beach, Alibag — and it was a truly refreshing experience! Rooms & Ambience The rooms were super clean and well-maintained 🛏️ Washrooms and toilets were hygienic and spotless 🚽✨ We stayed in an AC room at a very reasonable rate, even during the weekend ❄️💸 The resort is exclusively for families, so it’s peaceful and safe. Nature & Vibes Surrounded by coconut trees, the resort has cute jhulas (swings) tied to them, which added a fun, rustic charm 🌴⛓️ The air was fresh and breezy, making our time on the swings even more enjoyable 🌬️⛱️ Despite it being summer, we didn’t feel the heat much — the environment was very comfortable ☀️❌ Food Experience On Saturday, we had a veg thali that was just amazing! The chapati, bhaji, rice, shrikhand, koshimbir, papad, etc. were all delicious and satisfying 🍛🥗 Dinner was homely and comforting with pithla bhakri and khichdi-kadhi, served with crispy papad — loved it! 🥘 The food felt like it was made at home, and the kitchen was very clean and hygienic too 🧼🍽️ Sunday breakfast included hot ghavne with chutney, and for lunch, we had fish thalis which were absolutely mouthwatering 🐟❤️ Local Delights There was a small stall inside the resort selling papad, pickles, and other local items. We bought some papad and pickle — both were incredibly tasty and of the best quality! 🛍️ Beach & Location The best part? Kihim Beach is just a 2-minute walk from the resort! It’s clean, serene, and perfect for a peaceful getaway 🌊✨ Highly recommended for families looking for a calm, clean, and nature-filled retreat with great food and vibes! Would definitely love to visit again!

What I appreciate about this place- it’s Run by amazing people, homely and homemade tasty full meals! Close to the beach, neat and clean rooms. Simple yet warm and welcoming ambiance ❣️ there are a few places we visit on repeat or without a second thought whenever need a break from routine, this is one of them. Great for family and friends gatherings.

Definitely recommended for families. The host family members are really nice. Rooms are spacious and decent. Food served is delicious. They prepare it when you ask them and serve everything hot (order needs to be placed early). Most important thing for this place is the empty space they have in their premises, it’s huge and fully covered by coconut trees. Even in summer days you can sit outside and enjoy the cool breeze. And kids can play and enjoy here without any limits. The location is walkable from Kihim beach, it hardly takes 2 mins on walk. This is the place which you will visit repeatedly considering all above points.

Our recent stay at a cottage in Kihim, Konkan, was a delightful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cottage was nestled amidst lush greenery, offering a tranquil environment that was both refreshing and rejuvenating. Just a short walk away from the pristine Kihim Beach, the location was perfect for morning strolls and evening sunsets. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. What stood out was the warm hospitality of the staff, who ensured our needs were met promptly and with a smile. The home-cooked meals, especially the local Malvani cuisine, were a treat to our taste buds. Whether you're looking to unwind in nature, enjoy delicious food, or simply relax by the beach, this cottage in Kihim offers it all. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

Myself with my wife were in the Datarwadi Resort for couple of nights. Well maintained wadi with Coconut and Tad trees, and very clean AC rooms and homely atmosphere. The owner family Umeshkaka, Aditya found to be very courteous and helpful. Support Staff was also good. What we liked most is homely food prepared by Mrs. Datar like Amboli, Jawar Bhakri with Baingan Bharta, Kadhi-Khichdi etc. The location is hardly 100 meters away from Kihim Beach and that's the great advantage. My wife mentioned that, whenever we get free time, and wants to stay in homely, within nature and soothing atmosphere, we must visit here and relax. A home away from home.

Datarwadi resort's big advantage is about its location..resort is very near to beach..Best Homely stay with lot of space to play for children, with coconut trees all around which gives the feel of typical Wadi. Good hospitality offered by all Datar family members. Veg/Non Veg food quality is good. Place is ideal for family and group trip. Rooms are neat and clean with AC facility.

Very good for families!!! I went with my family, the food is very good, service is on point and Datar Uncle is very helpful and friendly, they will just make you feel like your own family. Looking forward for more such holidays. I would definitely recommend this if you are going with family. Amazing people!! Amazing hospitality !! Amazing food !!!

Visited Datarwadi in December. The place is beautiful..lots of coconut trees and overall greenery and cleanliness. There is ample space to roam around and enjoy under the trees in hammocks and swings. The seashore is just outside the resort and there are multiple water sports available there. To top this all, the food is homely and tasty. Both veg and non-veg is good. The service is good and the owners themselves serve you specially as their own house guests.
