Velvet County Resort , Lonavala - Khandala

As a British couple with 3 kids holidaying in India my family and I came here for Diwali holidays this week. We were astounded with the beauty of this resort and it's serene, tranquil location in Khandala. It feels like old world charm from the old world era of Mumbai. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff were courteous and attentive. It is so peaceful at this resort. We went for long nature walks and enjoyed the food cooked by the chefs at this resort. We are giving this resort a 5 star rating and will be back next Diwali here for sure!

This hotel is a great value for money. The rooms are spacious with big balconies, making the stay very comfortable. The entry is a bit secluded, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere—no noise, nothing to disturb you. If you are looking for a budget-friendly option in a good location, this place is definitely worth considering. The staff are polite and accommodating, and the service is decent. Overall, the price you pay is well justified by the facilities and comfort offered.

This property has recently changed ownership and, like any transition, comes with a few teething issues. That said, it’s truly a wonderful place to stay in Khandala. Nestled atop a tranquil hill within a gated community, it offers a peaceful retreat far from the bustle of Lonavala town. The rooms are spacious, with balconies that open up to lush views. Ours had both a private terrace and a balcony, where clouds drifted through, leaving behind misty, magical moments. The serene surroundings are perfect for leisurely walks in the rain. The property also features a large swimming pool and an in-house restaurant, adding to the convenience and charm. The staff here are hardworking, attentive, and go the extra mile to ensure your comfort and needs are met. Overall, it’s one of the best monsoon getaways you can experience.

Had a wonderful stay at Velvet County Resort! The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful valleys. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was polite and helpful throughout our visit. Perfect place to unwind and relax away from the city. Would definitely love to visit again!

Velvet County Resort & Spa Review Stayed recently and was really impressed! The rooms are spacious, clean, and offer lovely valley views. The service has improved a lot under the new management—staff is polite and responsive. Food was a highlight—delicious, especially the Indian and tandoori dishes. Peaceful location makes it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended!

We had our legal team’s offsite at Velvet County Resort and it was a great experience. The meeting space was well set up, the staff was helpful, and the overall vibe was peaceful and refreshing. The rooms were spacious and the food was excellent. Perfect spot for a productive yet relaxing work getaway.Salman the owner himself was present there and very helpful and amazing.
