NillI had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the exceptional quality of service and the overall experience. The rooms were spacious, well-maintained, and very comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure I had everything I needed. Whether it was assistance with local recommendations or any special requests, they were prompt and attentive. The service throughout my stay was top-notch, and the food exceeded my expectations as well. The meals were delicious, with a variety of options that catered to all tastes. I truly felt pampered and cared for throughout my time here. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and high-quality experience. I'll definitely be returning on my next visit!

NillWe enjoyed a peaceful stay at Adamo the Resort. The room was nice with a beautiful view of the pool and a nice veranda where I sat and enjoyed the clean air of Matheran. Complimentary breakfast was very good with dosa, poha, and a few other tasty treats to start your day. The pool is spacious and clean with ample lounge chairs, swing chairs arranged around the pool. It's a short walk from the train terminal in the market area and you'll find plenty of restaurants close by. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, so can't comment about that. There seemed to be a party next door so the music was loud but it didn't continue too late and other than that it was very quite and peaceful. One thing to be aware of is the monkeys. Leave your door open for just a minute and they will rush in to steal your food. So do head their warnings about the monkeys . My thanks to all the staff who made our stay at Matheran enjoyable and memorable.

NillTeam of thieves!!! Pickpockets!!! Worst experience during our stay during New Year’s Eve!!! We paid Rs 18000 per night per room!! Lost our gold chain with locket. There are no CCTV cameras in the entire resort, except for reception. GM and staff are a bunch of liars. No action from hotel management. Compliant raised with local police station. #NEVEREVER #worstexperience #Bigconcern #Nosafety #BAD

NillA BIG "NOOOOO" TO ADAMO THE RESORT, MATHERAN We checked in at the resort on 31st Dec'24 and checked out on 1st January 2025. We paid ₹18000 per room and we booked 2 rooms. We checked out on 1st January and when we reached home (Navi Mumbai), my brother in law realised that he forgot his gold chain worth ₹2 Lacs under the pillow in the room. We immediately called the hotel and informed them about this incident. The Hotel GM Mr Paul said he had sent his waiter and security guard to check and confirm. We called after few minutes and we were told that the staff verified and there was no chain found under the pillow So we decided to go back to Matheran and file a complaint with the local police station. We started at 6 PM and reached Matheran around 9 PM. We first went to the Adamo Hotel and spoke to Mr Paul and he kept on repeating that they have not found anything in the room and he trust his staff. We asked for the CCTC footage around the passage area to check who visited the room after we checked out and we learnt that there is no CCTV installed in the premises except for the reception area. When we asked Mr Paul, why there are no CCTV's. He mentioned that there was no need for the CCTV as they trust their staffs and this kind of incident doesn't happen and if they find footwears and mobile chargers they keep it on the lost and found lockers. We told him, it's not charger or footwear that we are talking about, it a damn expensive GOLD CHAIN. He was quiet then. We went to the Police station to File an FIR and were told that their senior officer is out of station and told us to write an application letter stating we lost our gold chain in the hotel. We visited Matheran again to get the FIR copy and now the senior police officer is saying he want to talk to the spouse of the victim of she had seen the chain during the check out. My sister stays in Delhi and they returned on 2nd January. Now she will have to visit Matheran to record her statement physically. Note: we wanted to post this along with the FIR copy, but it is talking longer than excepted to file the FIR. BEWARE OF ADAMO RESORT AND MATHERAN, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

NillI have visited last week to Adamo resort with 3 kids. As Matheran is no vehicle place, you can not take your car near resort. There are 3:options: 1) Hire coolie for luggage and walk for 45-50 min. 2) Book E-rikshaw but waiting period is 1 hour due to shortage of rikshaw. 3) Hire coolie for luggage and Horse for yourself. Resort is in middle of Market, all shops are nearby. This resort is over rated. Charges for extra person even for kids are 2000/- per night where in all over India even in five star hotel extra bed charges are rs. 1500. In my case there was a flaw in booking site but Resort manager did not give time to resolve that and asked to pay before check in. This was very bad experience. Food and service is ok. Resort do not provide basic things like toothpaste toothbrush, hot water kettle.

NillThere are very few good options for accommodation in Matheran. We found that "Adamo The Resort" is not a value for money. The room was quite dark, and the breakfast was almost identical on both days. Additionally, the receptionist, "Milind Devghare", was very rude, so I recommend avoiding interactions with him. However, the other staff members and the owner were quite pleasant.

NillAdamo is very promptly located at the end of the market, it's big, loud and pompous and can't be missed. The grounds are big however unlike any of the old original hotels of the place it seems to have cleared much of the tree cover to open up space. The music played is obnoxiously loud, gives you a headache and is obviously bothering the wildlife and neighbours. Right from the start of the check in, the room had a foul smell emanating from the washroom and spread everywhere, making the stay very uncomfortable. The meals weren't great. At breakfast the omelette serverd was so overcooked it was leathery. Hygiene is surely an issue, as we ended up with severe food poisoning eating at Adamo. The hotel has a few weird characters trying to stop you on the market road just outside the hotel saying "It's free, no charge". Beware of dubious promotions being run, scammers approach people by handing out cards with promised rewards, which can only be claimed by attending their event in person. They claim its a pass and offer you a pass for some promotion. However, once you arrive, the session turns into a high-pressure sales pitch for their holiday packages. If you refuse to buy, they may resort to intimidation tactics. Best to avoid these touts and scammers by just ignoring them and not getting into and interactions. The genuine Matheran experience is lost.
