Desert Fort Resort

Correct me if I'm wrong, the reception guy told me, earlier it was called as "Sam Sand dunes resort" so had heard great reviews about that. It's a good resort in mid budget. Staff was friendly. I had dinner and breakfast at the resort which was also good. Despite being a weekday the resort was full. I would advice to reach the resort before sunset to enjoy it fully. Avoid dealers.

This resort has very good infrastructure like, good quality tent, beds, chair, tables, etc but the maintenence is poor. Proper cleaning is not there especially bathroom. Start was receptive and friendly. Water for bath and wash basin smelled like there was some dead animal in there tank. Hot water for bath only for two hours in the morning. Evening cultural program was too noisee, folk dancer were fair not good or bad. All the contents of cultural program are repeated daily dot to dot, even the jokes by there anchor therefore second day it feels much lower in quality. Food, it is also repeated daily - same menu. There is lunch. Only breakfast, evening snacks and dinner. Average food, may be below average. Safari process fluctuate heavily, we paid ₹2500 for quad bike 3.5 km plus ₹500 ईनाम and guys from neighboring tent paid ₹700. So beware and be ready for bargaining. Night safari and stargazing :We had booked night jeep safari with stargazing experience - not worth it. They just gave 5 minutes of jeep roaming in desert amber no arrangement for sitting or watching the stars. It was not far enough from lights of tents to have a clear view of stars. A big no. Conclusion : Just stay for one day and don't expect to much.

It's been an amazing experience being here, great service, good gesture and very friendly staff. Reviews actually worth it. Food was delicious and timely served. The cultural program was well organised. Highly recommend the place.

It is good to stay here especially on New Year's Eve. I enjoyed it too much and the hospitality and infrastructure are also good. I always like to spend a new year party in Desert fort Resort. The people's behaviour is very kind, they support us in all the ways. Thanks

We stayed for 4 nights. The place is nice with a cultural program every evening. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. As we stayed for four days and the sabji was getting repeated for us, they gave us a different sabji from the 2nd day onwards. And the best part is we didn't even ask for it. We appreciate such a nice gesture from all the staff and thank them for making our stay pleasant.

The whole setup is a scam !!!!! The pictures and details shared on site seems tempting but in actual its the worst. Poor food quality and for every thing you need to pay. The distance from camp to sand dunes for activities is hardly 4/5 km but charged heavily for the jeep. The cost for each ride is overhyped and they just take you round and round in the same spot. Claiming that we have provide you deep desert safari and solo ride experience

We had a very good experience with our stay at this place. Only issue we faced was the lack of running hot water all day and lack of proper lighting in the rooms The management and staff catered to our every need and request and went above and beyond. We had a memorable stay.

Food was okay, rooms were big and clean. Can try, worth the money as it was cheap when i booked it. Tho, the service was not good, when we entered, staff was rude and you will have ti ask them yourself for any service included, they wont come to you.
