Merak Resort, Bhimtal

We booked this resort for the wedding of my younger brother and It provided the perfect backdrop for a truly unforgettable wedding celebration. The stunning location, coupled with the impeccable service, made the event even more special. The food was absolutely divine, with a wide array of flavors and beautifully presented dishes. The culinary team truly outdid themselves. The manager of this resort is the 'Gem of a person' , Mr. Joshi. He arranged all the things perfectly. 100/100 The housekeeping staff ensured that every detail was taken care of, keeping the venue pristine throughout the event. But what truly made the wedding so memorable was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Their friendliness, professionalism, and dedication to ensuring a seamless event were truly commendable. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the entire team at The Merak for making the wedding such a resounding success. Rooms are clean. Linen is ok. Washroom fittings need replacement or maintenance. It's not broken but difficult to operate. The door handle of the washroom was flimsy. Food taste and quality seems nice. Overall property has been maintained quite well. Beautiful valley and lake view from the room balcony.

Loved it! The best part was staff... The staff services are outstanding and superb, staff was very good and humble. Food and rooms were also excellent. Room: We were 16 members stayed for 3 days, and booked cottage style rooms. The rooms were clean, big and comfortable. We ordered 6-7 tea in the morning, which while check out they didn't include... And told it is complimentary from us, since we are so many people. Despite multiple request, they didn't accept the payment Food: Breakfast was really nice, had decent variety of 7-10 dishes. Some of us are Jain, and requested them for some paranthe without onion and garlic, which they very happily made. We even had dinner, which was also really really good. Surfing dinner, We requested mix veg, but it had onion in it, so we requested if new mix veg can be made, which could take 5-10 min., thus they gave us aalo ki sabji (as complimentary), so they that flow of the food is not spoiled and have mix veg after 5 min. I have never seen someone so welcoming and humble. Despite repeated attempts to pay for aaloo sabji, they refused. Other activities: There are many playful rabits in the big lawn, which kids would love Garden is beautiful and has many different varieties of plants and trees There is an option for bournfire, by paying 2000 extra, which includes speaker and seating arrangement from 6-10 pm. We were late and our bournfire started at 9:30, so we requested if it can be extended... Which they happily did till 11, without any extra charges, which normally hotels take. Overall, I think it was great experience and there are absolutely no complains

It was an excellent staty at Merak Resort, Bhimtal. Resort staff was very cordial and helpful. Food and breakfast was very tasty with lot of variety and choices. View from room balconies is superb. Budget wise also it is OK.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Hotel Merak, Bhimtal I had a terrible experience during my stay at Hotel Merak on the night of 15th November 2024. My son was unwell and vomited on the floor of our room. When I called the housekeeping and reception staff, specifically Mr. Gaurav and Mr. Sachin, who were on duty, I was shocked by their response. They informed me that there was no housekeeping staff available in the hotel at night and handed me a wiper and room freshener, expecting me to clean up the mess myself! Even worse, while I was cleaning, Mr. Gaurav stood by watching, showing absolutely no courtesy to assist. Their behavior was unprofessional, insensitive, and completely unacceptable. I strongly oppose this kind of treatment and want to warn others about the poor service and lack of empathy from the staff at this hotel. I also have a video of the incident as evidence of their shocking attitude. Avoid staying at this hotel if you value basic courtesy and customer service.

Overall experience was good. |Rooms are old, toilets are small. ||Food was Delicious |Bfast and dinner ||Good hospitality ||Good swimming pool- Indoor ||Very old Linens and towels.||Game zone is not renovated- smells due to Rains ||Staff were welcoming||Ample space in parking ||Big Lawns||Scenic view from room balcony.

I recently stayed at Merak Resort in Bhimtal and had a pleasant experience. The property is situated in a good location, offering beautiful views and a serene environment. The service was great, with the staff being attentive and helpful throughout my stay. However, the resort could benefit from more maintenance to enhance the overall experience. Despite this, I enjoyed my time there and would consider returning in the future.
