Faraway Cottages, Auli

We were looking for a nice place to stay in Auli for one night and we found Faraway Cottages. After arriving at the property we liked it so much we ended up extending our stay to 3 nights! The rooms are very clean and neat and the decor is comforting as well. The bathrooms are also well equipped and the hot water showers are great in the chill weather. The view from all areas of the property is mesmerizing and watching the sunrise and sunset with the melodies of the birds chirping is a whole vibe in itself. The garden and the common areas are also well maintained and are great to hangout and enjoy the views from. The service we received here was top notch and the food was delicious everyday we didn't even need to go out for a meal. The manger Krishna was very hospitable and even arranged a trekking guide for us to do the nearby Auli hike. The support staff was also very helpful and provided us with everything we requested. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend the property for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the hills.

Our stay at Faraway Cottages was truly magical! The property is absolutely charming, and the stunning views from our balcony left us in awe. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, providing exceptional service and care. We were so charmed that we extended our stay from 3 nights to a whole week! The tranquil setting, beautifully appointed rooms, delicious food, and genuine warmth made for a perfect getaway. We felt incredibly pampered and can’t wait to return. Kudos to the team!

Beautiful property… rooms are very spacious and elegantly designed…. Amazing view of the mountains. Good food and kind helpful staff. Our stay at faraway cottages was beyond our expectations . Thank you for the great hospitality.

Had a beautiful, unforgettable extended stay with best possible Himalyan view, great in-house hospitality from Mr Nautiyal and team. Organic foods and local cuisine are really awesome. Views are breathtaking with sunrise of Badrinath peak and sunset of Nandadevi peak. Surrounded by flora and fauna of Himalaya. Sound of river, lot of unknown birds, blooming flower really made the stay a life long experience. Will definitely revisit and recommend all our friends to add this property as a must visit.

Our stay at faraway was for three days. The atmosphere was really nice . Staff was very helpful and polite. The property has the best scenic view. Rooms are really beautiful. Food is very very delicious. They property is ten on ten with spacious rooms

Faraway cottages is a wonderful place to stay and relax. The views from the room, food and service were all excellent. Mr.Nautiyal, Vijay and the team went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable. Every meal was delightful and all our requests were taken care of. I would like to note that last I had experienced this kind of hospitality was at Vivanta by Taj. This place is truly a gem at Auli !

We had stayed there overnight on our way to Badrinath.|Beautiful property on top of the mountains.|It had good designed big size rooms and the huge balconies had the most stunning views .|Just loved the views all around the hotel .|It’s small property but well managed . Food was good and staff was courteous

The property could rival any five star Indian boutique hotel. In such a remote place the cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding, everything was pristine. The facilities were also top notch, with games and books present in the common area. Even the jet spray had heated water, the washroom was clean and had everything that you could need. They could definitely use one blow dryer but the manager said it was on the way. The views are amazing, from every room, there is no damp in the rooms, the beds are comfortable and clean. Coming to the food, everything was delicious. The parking is a bit treacherous if you are a new driver, but we had no problems parking and using our sedans. Service was also quick. They don't have intercoms in the rooms yet but the wifi enabled cell service was almost always up.
