Best place for your family retreat and Nature loving people.The owner is also very down to earth and humble person. One of the best family holidays i ever had. Hope to visit again 🙂

We booked to stay here for a four day yoga and meditation retreat in January 2018 which in reality, was actually only 2 days because they include the arrival day and departure day as whole days in the programme. ||The accommodation is ‘basic’ to say the least and by that, I mean no decent shower, no hot water, a toilet which didn’t flush and a bedroom which was pretty filthy, absolutely freezing and had no source of heat. WiFi is advertised but there wasn’t any internet access at all while we were there. We endured one night but the next morning we insisted we were moved as we couldn’t possibly have stayed another night in the room we were given. We had paid extra for the accommodation to make sure it was comfortable and not basic however, even though we were told that we had the best ‘cottage’, it was way below any standard I would expect from even the most basic accommodation. ||At our insistence, we were moved to a yoga hostel on our second day however, although this was cleaner and had hot water for showers, it was still quite basic and we later found out that we could have arranged to stay there ourselves at a cost of £8 per night. ||The food served at the resort is tasty and we enjoyed that a great deal but sadly, we didn’t enjoy anything else. We were the only guests there and we got the feeling that it was empty most of the time. ||There was no yoga and meditation programme in place and we had to ask for a schedule which turned out to be a hastily handwritten note. In total, we were offered two sessions over the course of our stay and we felt quite cheated by this. ||The yoga sessions were not like any yoga we’ve done before and it was clear that the instructor who led the session was not an accomplished yoga instructor. The sessions did not even include any of the basic poses. ||We were offered an opportunity to try river rafting however, we declined as this was not the reason we had booked a yoga and meditation retreat. We were not offered a refund of the cost of rafting, even though it was obviously factored into the overall price. ||I won’t book this retreat or accommodation again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else. ||Rishikesh itself is lovely but you would do well to save your money and just book your own accommodation there leaving you free to participate in the assorted classes which take place right through the day and evening. It will work out considerably cheaper and you will have a much better experience.

So I visited at the end of January and was going for a four day program of yoga and meditation in the foothills of the himilayas. ||Sadly the four days and three night stay was disappointing. In reality although we paid for this time we actually only had three nights and two days.|We arrived at the camp having been collected from the airport to an empty camp. We were the only ones there which was a bit disconcerting. Brand new yoga mats in the back of the truck should have worried us a bit more but the photos on the site showed people doing standard yoga poses.|However it was clear that our teacher didn’t practise yoga. We asked for a schedule and were given a hand written note with rafting on. We said we had only come for yoga and weren’t interested in anything else as it was a yoga retreat.|We had two yoga and meditation sessions the whole stay. I have tried at least four types and his “vibrating yoga” had no poses to speak of and in reality was terrible.|The accommodation in the valley was as bad as my worst camping trip. Freezing cold room which was unclean, scanky blankets, no hot water, a toilet that didn’t flush and no WiFi even though he said it was coming. After the first night we asked to be moved and he took us the next day to Rishikesh |Here the accommodation was in a yoga ashram clean, basic with WiFi but we found out only £8 a night( we paid £500 for the time that we were there)|Anyway Rishikesh is an amazing place and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the sightseeing tours and the massage he organised but I would strongly recommend doing it yourself. In Rishikesh there were hostels and no end of yoga sessions of all the various genre. I won’t go back to this retreat and feel that although the teacher and his family were lovely people it was really overpriced and disappointing.

My experience in this jungle cottage was excellent. The staff and other memeber were very helpful and made my trip very comfortable and easy.All the facilities were good and satisfactory . The rooms and food was very appt according to price . The experience of adventure sport was "THE BEST" thing of my trip . Thankyou BIRDS THE JUNGLE RETREAT for making my trip happy and mesmerising .

Resort is located near the bungee jump site & is across the road... We booked 2 cottages (Kingfisher & Myna ), very spacious, can easily accommodate 3 with extra bedding. Beautiful view, the service was prompt n the staff was very courteous. To top it all, the food was gud 2!

Beautiful property 👌👌. We enjoyed a lot. The best part was doing yoga in the lap of nature. We have all day fun from morning yoga to DJ night as well as we had delicious food and nice services..In simple words we had a Great time with BIRDS THE JUNGLE RETREAT

BIRDS THE JUNGLE RETREAT make my trip awesome through his nice facilities and services. My experience in THE JUNGLE COTTAGE was great. The place was like heaven where I saw the beauty of nature. The property is located in a perfect location of nature. Best experience ever.

My trip was awesome.....i enjoyed a lots. We took two jungle cottages naming bul bul and peacock both were comfortable enough and we had lots of fun... The food was delicious and amazing... We enjoyed the beauty of nature .
