Since many many years Kurikota is very famous for SUSALA- a local breakfast snack made with puffed rice known with different names in different areas like Churumuri,Mandakki etc. Churumuri is soaked in water and then is fried with apt quantities of jeera, mustard, turmeric, groundnuts, puthani (puffed benghalgram) , salt to taste..etc. and served hot. Mirchi bhaji and seva are best combinations with SUSALA. The travellers from Kalaburagi, Bidar,Humabad stop here to enjoy the taste of SUSALA. If you wish to have a taste of SUSALA which is a most common, most famous, most easily prepared , most liked by all the age group people, you need to stop here. It about 20 kms from Kalaburagi ,45 kms from Humabad, about 90 kms from Bidar.

You will find better places. It's just opp temple entrance.. that's the only plus point.
