⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem Near Catherine Falls! Stumbled upon Hobbit Restaurant during our visit to Catherine Falls and what a delightful surprise it was! The food was absolutely delicious – we tried both Indian and Chinese dishes, and everything was spot on. Flavors were authentic, portions generous, and the service was warm and welcoming. The cozy ambience with a view of the hills adds to the charm. A must-visit if you’re in or around Kotagiri!

They had only limited menu - in our case - fried rice and noodles - we ordered the egg fried rice and it was very poor. They had boiled the rice too much and the fried rice was like pongal.

The Ambience was so good and the hospitality they show towards the customer was great and must visit place and they've implemented new type of rooms like Dome .. I really loved the experience here 🥰

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was bad, nothing special, but what really ruined the experience was the super slow service. We waited for 1.5 hours, and the food was still not ready. The staff seemed completely disinterested—our waiter was in some other zone, not listening at all. We had to call out multiple times, yet he continued to ignore us as if he was deaf. Overall, it was a frustrating and unpleasant visit. Definitely not worth the time or money. Wouldn’t recommend it at all!

Location and vibe is good, but we didn’t like the food taste. service was very slow. We waited for onion pakora for almost 30mins. And btw, who serves the main course before starter.

First of all it was a long wait to get our food, and we ordered gobhi and they served us chicken, we are eggetarian and took a bite also then got to know it's chicken Manchurian. And we had ordered egg biryani and we got chicken pieces in that when we asked them they have told they don't have separate rice for egg, they just removed chicken pieces and added egg in that, this is very bad they should tell this before. As many people will there, we can see they were misplacing the order for many people. Overall had very bad experience,

We went there for lunch, and it turned out to be a huge mistake. The food took way too long to arrive, which made us expect something worthwhile—but unfortunately, it was a complete letdown. The chicken biryani, priced at over ₹300, wasn’t even close to the quality of a ₹60-₹80 roadside biryani. It was overly spicy and disappointing. The porotta and chicken curry were just as bad. This place was recommended by Silvertip Café, where we stayed, but sadly, it didn’t live up to the expectations at all.
