I've just had an amazing stay at Akshay beach resort. Highly recommended 💛 I'm extremely grateful for their wonderful hospitality, they truly care for and look after all their guests in the most humble way. Besides the staff, the place itself is great. It's clean, affordable, quiet, and have everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the location is just superb. I'll be coming back for sure. Thank you!

We had an amazing stay at this property, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We were here on March 2025, it was an pleasant, clean and amazing stay here. The place is well maintained and very close to beach less than 5 minutes walk. We booked from Booking.com and it was budget friendly & worth the money. We stayed in Deluxe Room with Balcony, we booked 2 rooms both the rooms were amazing & the toilet was clean & had bath tub children loved that. I wouldn't say that as a resort but he was more like a home stay. House rule of no footwear inside the premises was a good idea to avoid muddy & greasy floor. Special mention would be definitely to Jabastian, who accommodated us very well & was helpful throughout. Since we had children we were allowed to use the kitchen once as we requested. Thank you Jabastian was taking good care of us & for being part of our memorable trip.

I am a local guide, and this resort is unfairly attacking my and my fellow travellers' credibility by giving false explanations and even insulting a doctor among us personally. It's a never go resort, sorry "budget but overpriced lodge." All the 5 start reviews posted by some random people after our dreading experience is posted by people who have only posted one or 2 reviews in their life. It's up to the people who check reviews whether you want to believe local guides or genuine reviews or fake single reviews. This is posted after the response from this "esteemed RESORT" A bald guy at the reception was very rude when we raised our concerns. And the unprofessional responses on all our reviews, fake positive reviews right after that, shows who's fake. They don't even collect any proof from those who stay. There's no safety, you just walk in check in and that's all. Requesting the management to invest the time you spend on fake reviews to be spent on betterment of facilities. Our mistake is that we did not take pictures of the leaking faucet and the shower not working to prove our point. Except one or two housekeeping staff, the higher level management people or whoever at the reception spoke to us was extremely rude and unapproachable person. Absolutely no hospitality, and irrespective of being a budget hotel or not, giving 2 towel for 2 people in a room is basics! The guests need not beg for towels. We did not ask them to give us free rooms, paid whatever they ask for. THIS WAS MY ACTUAL REVIEW: Long story short, A Disappointing Stay – More of a Lodge Than a Resort Our experience at this hotel was far from what was promised. The shower in our room didn’t work, and there was no hot water. Basic amenities were lacking—no blankets, only one towel provided, and just a single plug point, making it difficult to charge multiple devices. The faucet was leaking, and the WiFi kept disconnecting. Additionally, the rule about keeping footwear outside felt unnecessary for a hotel setting. Overall, this place felt more like a basic lodge than a proper beach resort. Would not recommend.

The rooms were all neat and the bathroom was really tidy, but it could be a little more spacious. Some hangers can be fitted in the bathroom. Overall it's a very nice and a homely place. The receptionist and the owner are really friendly and helpful when it comes to arranging cabs and recommending hotels to eat at. It was a very good experience.

While it may lack the frills of high-end resorts, it delivers decent value for money, especially considering its beachfront location Overall Rating: 3.5/5 It's not super fancy, but it's a decent place for a relaxing beach stay near Chennai. Most guests have a good time here, especially if they come with realistic expectations

Dear Owner, I was the one who raised our concerns in the resort after a night's stay. Part of the same group who stayed on 21st Feb check out 22nd Feb. The staff sitting in the reception who spoke in English was polite and handled us well. They did not give 10 Non AC rooms , instead they gave a bigger AC room which could accommodate 4 people. So nutshell is, i raised our issues politely - 1. Power socket only 1 irrespective of number of people in the room , 2. No hot water system. 3.Leakage of water from faucet 4. Only single towel irrespective of number of people in room, in their rules it was written additional towels are chargeable. 5. While communicating the 3rd point the person who claimed to be the owner started questioning me in an intimidating and threatening manner. We are coming to the resort to stay peacefully and relax. If he is sitting there to intimidate a customer who addresses an issue in a polite manner i doubt the credibility of positive reviews. We would not waste our time to put a review for an Akshay beach resort unless there is some point to be highlighted. Once again the staff they have in the reception was handling us and listening to the issues positively. It was the person who claimed to be the owner is my issue. Akshay Beach Resort as a place is okay except for the improvements that needs to be done like power socket, leaking faucet in bathroom, Hot water. If the Management can look into the matter and think. The guy who claims to be the owner for past 35 years was very rude to the poor staff who was trying to manage the situation in front of guests which is totally unacceptable. We could not take a video of the incident. If there are other partners or owners involved please look into the matter.
