SaffronStays Villa Horizon 360 - Villa in Mahabaleshwar

I recently stayed at this villa in Mahabaleshwar and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were impeccably clean and tidy, and the common areas, including the entrance and dining area, were fantastic. The villa offered great amenities, such as reliable Wi-Fi, a large TV, and a sound system. The highlight of our stay was the amazing food prepared by the butler and chef, Mr. Shailesh. His culinary skills were exceptional, and we chose to enjoy all our meals at the villa. The location was another big plus, being close to Venna Lake and just a short drive from the Mahabaleshwar market. The villa was cozy and warm, with a very welcoming service staff who catered to our every need. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone traveling to Mahabaleshwar.

Such a bad experience that I have faced after I reached at the premises. Saffron Stay 360 at Mahabaleshwar might look like, based on common issues that can arise when a stay does not match expectations: 1. Disappointed with False Advertising on MMT “Booked Saffron Stay 360 after seeing beautiful pictures and glowing reviews on MMT, but it was a letdown from the moment we arrived. The rooms did not look like the photos at all; they were much smaller and lacked the luxury touches we expected. The cleanliness was also disappointing – dusty surfaces and linens that seemed unwashed. Even the view, which was supposed to be breathtaking, was blocked by construction nearby. Really disappointed that what was shown online didn’t match reality.” 2. Poor Maintenance and Lack of Amenities “MMT described Saffron Stay 360 as a premium property, but it was far from that. The amenities mentioned were either unavailable or in poor condition. The pool was dirty and unusable, and there was no Wi-Fi, even though it was promised. The bathrooms were in bad shape, with leaky faucets and broken fixtures. Overall, it felt like we paid for a luxury experience but ended up with a subpar stay.” 3. Not Worth the Price “Booked this place based on MMT’s description, but honestly, it’s not worth the price. The property looked rundown, and the service was slow and unprofessional. There were also long power outages with no backup. We had to wait hours for basic requests. This was supposed to be a relaxing getaway, but it was frustrating and uncomfortable. Wish we had gone elsewhere.” 4. False Claims of a Serene Environment “MMT highlighted Saffron Stay 360 as a peaceful retreat, but we found the opposite. There was loud construction happening nearby, and the property itself was noisy due to poor soundproofing. Couldn’t even enjoy a quiet evening or the nature that was promised. Not a relaxing experience, and definitely not what we were led to believe.” 5. Poor Service and Lack of Professionalism “Service was nowhere near the standards promised on MMT. Staff seemed inexperienced, and even basic requests took forever. For example, extra towels and room cleaning took hours, and the manager was not helpful. There was also no one available during checkout to help with luggage. This kind of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially at this price.” These review examples reflect disappointment with the gap between expectations set by the booking site and the actual experience, focusing on issues that are commonly faced by travelers. It's a decent place to stay at. Their overall rating is quite understandable. Cons: 1. The main gate is locked at 9pm, quite annoying because you need to get back that early even though you're on vacation. The caretakers leave the place after that, giving you an unsafe feeling since you're left by yourself locked in the entire villa. Not sure how one could deal with an emergency. They should atleast keep one person on the property during the night. 2. Steep entrance for the cars. 3. Most of the cupboards in the upstairs room are locked, leaving only a few shelves for the customers. 4. Unprofessional behavior by the management. Two days into the stay they decided to shift us to a room on the lower floor. Didn't mention this during checkin and honestly speaking, not a pleasant experience. 5. Spotted many little cockroaches in the kitchen, definitely not expected from a brand like this. Pricing is 1700 per meal and breakfast at 350 per head. 6. Wifi doesn't work in the lower floor. I suggest they get a repeater installed as it was quite an inconvenience since there is no connectivity of Airtel/Vodafone here. 7. Hot water in the shower gets empty quick, probably due to low capacity of the geyser. They need to look into upgrading it. 8. None of the rooms can be locked. Pros: 1. Wonderful view from both floors. 2. Bathtub available in the first room of the lower floor. 3. Caretaker lady Moushi was very pleasant throughout and seemed like a nice person. 4. Water pressure is good in all taps. 5. Garden and premises are maintained well. 6. Quality of door and window frames is good and sound insulating. Do keep note that they charge a refundable deposit of 5000.

This is a two storied peaceful and pet-friendly villa. There are 5 bed rooms in it and there is a double bed in each room. One beautiful garden is there and one common tv and dining room is there in 1st floor. There is a kitchen where they cook home made food for guests and there are different charges for food. They provide tea whenever you need within 8am to 10pm and guests are also allowed to make tea for themselves in the kitchen. There are some indoor games in the villa. In short it's more like a home. View from balcony in 1st floor is beautiful. While traveling to this place take the route through venna lake.

Excellent picturesque location with clean rooms and bathrooms. Only problem is that you should come back at villa within 10pm because caretaker is not available between 10 pm to 8 am. With us the caretaker yelled at us for not reaching by 10 pm due to traffic we reached by 10:30 pm although time mentioned in invoice was 11pm. We do not pay tariff to get binding by hostel like rules. About meals, no complimentary breakfast or tea coffee is given as compared to other hotels where a ₹6000 priced hotel can come with a continental plan and about other meals they are too much priced. You have to pay a security deposit(refundable) of 5000 per room which according to me is too much.

With only the common room on the first floor having a view of a small part of the valley, the name seems misleading. We booked our anniversary stay here because it was associated with Saffronstays..but what a disappointment it was! The room was small and not at all worth ₹6.5k. Since it's a villa, dinner has to be ordered in advance whereas nearby options for dinner are limited. Room policy mentioned quiet hours 10 pm onwards but a group was having dinner in the garden well past 10 pm. With a random group having dinner right outside, privacy was something we didn't get the privilege of. Won't recommend it!

Beautiful and cosy villa done artistically. The villa has a lot of land surrounding it which is used for strawberry farming. Would be a wonderful experience during strawberry season. The care taker couple also needs a mention as they cooked really delicious home cooked meal and made the stay even more comfortable.
