I chose Xinchong Hotel due to the vicinity of my business place. However, the infrastructure is really good: The lobby welcomes you and tells you the quality of service you will receive during your staying. The room is very comfortable with a nice bed, nice TV, excellent area for working and resting/reading sofa; also complementary WiFi. High standard deco. The bathroom is excellent, nice shower and good tube very clean and with excellent products in the amenity kits.||The gym has all you need for a good workout and opening from 06:00 to 22:00, it is very convenient.||Two restaurants with excellent choice and well prepared dishes. The western dishes are really tasty. No need to comment about the local dishes which are a must try.||I spent in this hotel more than 30 nights so I could experience the full service offered by them.||The cons are: Very basic english level in the whole personnel. This could be a problem when your enquire requires more details or a better explanation. Only few people in the hotel speaks a high level english. However, for the basic things you will never be lost and they will help you.||I had problem with the A/C in my room and after two nights someone came to my room and suggested me to open the room window, after complaining even more they brought a fan to my room. Honestly the two solutions were not up to the standards and they were aimed to solve their problem rather than mine. The A/C was fixed after two days of fanning and some corrective actions were taken.||||Even those experiences, I will come back for sure, it is the best hotel so far in town and it worth what you are paying. The impression I got is the staff is committed to offer you a really good service.

XinChong Hotel is a decent 20 to 25 minute walk to downtown Chongming. I stayed there for the month of July 2018. The room was very comfortable: nice king size bed, adequate lighting, desk and minibar. The minibar gets warm so I found it was best to leave the cabinet door open. Tea and coffee were free in the room and bathroom had clean tap from which we could drink. I decided to keep the free bottled water delivered each day. The bathroom shower was amazing and had a separate handle in addition to the rain showerhead. Complimentary toiletries were great! The only downside to the hotel, and something I found pretty much anywhere, was the lack of English tv. Two channels would have English programming and HBO was blurry but I got used to it after a month. The Chinese restaurant on the third floor is fantastic and serve a variety of authentic dishes. The western restaurant on the first floor left much to be desired. Food took a very long time, but when you get tired of Chinese cuisine, it works. There is a gift shop behind the lobby and not very well advertised. WiFi is spotty and you have to keep getting on hubs in other guest rooms, but otherwise it worked. There is not too much around in terms of entertainment. But the staff were very friendly and helpful!

Even though English skills are limited here, everything works just fine. For a westerner, there's a quite good selection in the menu, same with the breakfast.||The rooms are very clean - maybe except the carpet i some rooms - but the overall experience is positive. The internet is surprisingly fast.||Nearest attraction in walking distance is a gas tank - otherwise its taxi, but that works very well by booking at the reception and a business card in Chinese with instructions to the driver. I will come back to this hotel in case of more work here...

Was staying here for the Shanghai Ironman70.3 so the hotel was fully booked. Room was clean but the carpet was very very dirty with lots of old stains. The minibar was empty. Staff at the lobby/restaurant cashier were on the verge of rude and spoke very little English. The cleaning ayis were very helpful. The western restaurant only had 2 set menus to chose from, we tried one of each and they were equally bad and the food was cold. Went to find a restaurant 'downtown' for our other meals,||Upon check out we unfortunately left and big bike pump in the lobby. I called the hotel 30 min later but it had not been found! Had left it right at door and it was yellow and black so not that difficult to spot but nobody really cared to help.

Hotel is a little old but the room is big. We were at XinChong Hotel for Shanghai Ironman 2019. Although it’s a bit far from Mingzhu lake but it’s only 3km (taxi 15 CNY) away from Starbucks, KFC, Pizza Hut and bakeries. The lady staff at the reception speaks english well. ||Good breakfast spread. We also tried the Chinese restaurant and the food is good.

酒店有点旧，但房间很大。我们入住的是2019上海铁人三项赛新冲酒店。虽然距离明珠湖有点远，但距离星巴克、肯德基、必胜客、面包店仅3公里（打车15元）。接待处的女工作人员英语说得很好。 ||早餐不错。我们还尝试了中国餐厅，食物很好。

和别的单位活动来这里住宿，正好遇到吃螃蟹的季节，客房全部爆满，早上自助餐厅座无虚席，还好提前预定了。酒店的甜点和饮料很好吃，点餐服务员态度很赞。离东平国家森林公园比较近。
