Yungang Jianguo Hotel

The Yungang Jianguo Hotel gave us a warm welcome, the room was clean and organized, we even had a view on the city wall if Datong. We enjoyed our large breakfast buffet, and Yungang Jianguo actually has their own bus stop right in front of the hotel, with the bus line Nr. 2 running from there, which makes travel easier from the hotel to different places of the city. Very recommendable!

云冈建国饭店热情地接待了我们，房间干净整洁，我们甚至可以看到大同城墙的景色。我们享用了丰盛的自助早餐，云冈建国酒店前面就有自己的公交车站，有 9 路公交车。 2路公交车从那里出发，这使得从酒店到城市不同地方的旅行更加便捷。非常值得推荐！

Lovely hotel. Convenient location. We had a HUGE room, very elegant décor. It was clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. I believe some of the rooms on higher floors have more contemporary décor . We had what we called an "exhibition" shower, as many are viewable from the main room. Kind of funny, but you get used to it. Our room was on the back side of the hotel, so we had a nice view of the city. Breakfast was fine. You could still get eggs, but most of the food available was Chinese fare. We got so used to eating breakfast with chopsticks, that we missed it when we got back home. Very easy to get a taxi and to go to the parts of the city within the wall, it was only about 7RMB. There were many weddings there, and each time, fireworks are set off out front. Interesting custom, and one we did not see in other cities we visited.

可爱的酒店。位置方便。我们有一个巨大的房间，装饰非常优雅。干净、安静，床很舒服。我相信较高楼层的一些房间有更现代的装饰。我们有所谓的“展览”淋浴，因为许多淋浴都可以从主房间看到。有点可笑，但你会习惯的。我们的房间位于酒店的后面，所以我们可以看到城市的美景。早餐很好。你仍然可以获得鸡蛋，但大部分食物都是中餐。我们已经习惯了用筷子吃早餐，所以回到家就忘记了。打车去城墙内的各个地方都很方便，只要7元左右。那里举办过很多婚礼，每次都会在门前燃放烟花。有趣的习俗，我们在参观的其他城市中没有看到过。

This is a very beautiful hotel. Once i stepped into the hotel lobby, I just got the feeling if I to Datong again, I will definitely come to stay at this hotel again. The beautiful lady who served us at the reception is very polite and nice. I forgot to ask her name. ||The location of the hotel is just perfect. Walking distance to shopping area and restaurant. . ||I still remember my room number, 1055. Spacious and clean. The amenities in the room is just fantastic. You name it, you will find it there. The bathroom is clean and spacious. Twin sharing bed was very comfortable. Wifi functioning perfectly. The view from the hotel is beautiful. ||We had a enjoyable breakfast at their coffee house on the next morning. It's a buffet breakfast with plenty of selection you can choose. We spend 1.5 hours at their coffee house just to enjoy the food served there.||Overall, this hotel is worth every penny your pay.

The staff has so little knowledge of English for such a big hotel. We managed to let them know we needed a taxi to the airport and they called, everything fine.||The room was huge, so was the bed. There's a desk, fax, armchair, etc. Very comfortable and cosy. Looked luxurious.||The bathroom has both shower and a bathtub, though you can't shower in the bathtub, you have to go to the shower after having a bath. They provide all the necessary amenities and osmosis water tap.||The breakfast is rich in variety and has both chinese and western food (they have ice-cream jajajaja).

对于这么大的酒店来说，工作人员的英语知识太少了。我们设法让他们知道我们需要一辆出租车去机场，他们打电话来，一切都很好。||房间很大，床也很大。有桌子、传真机、扶手椅等。非常舒适温馨。看起来很豪华。||浴室有淋浴和浴缸，虽然不能在浴缸里淋浴，但洗完澡后必须去淋浴。他们提供所有必要的便利设施和渗透水龙头。 ||早餐品种丰富，有中餐和西餐（他们有冰淇淋jajajaja）。

Booked a few rooms for a small group. 2 rooms were rejected on the spot upon entering. One room must have someone smoked inside despite it's non smoking. Another room was infested with cockroaches. Front deck insisted there was no more room to spare. When my group member told the female staff she wanted go to take picture of the cockroach to show her, this female staff slammed the counter and shouted at us. Till the manager was called upon, rooms were replaced.||We were told that rooms at upper floors were kept for guests from Beijing, probably government official and not for tourists. The replaced room was still smelly and carpet extremely dirty. If non smoking room is a must, please skip this hotel as my other group members also complained their rooms were full of smoking smell.||||Condition of room was run down. Towels were like being used for decade and no one bothers its appearance. It could be the standard of local managed hotel in this region. There is a long list to go on about the problem but the manner of this front desk staff is enough to put off consideration booking this so called popular hotel.

酒店可以达到四星标准，房间舒服，服务好，尤其要强烈推荐酒店早餐。我们不知道碰到了什么优惠，只需加20元就可享受酒店的自助早餐，早餐绝对跟五星级酒店一百多的自助早餐一个标准，算是一个超大的惊喜。只是洗澡水不够热。

Considering the town, this is a very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious, all the amenities are there, WiFi is functioning perfectly. The breakfast has plenty of western and Chinese options. We also had a dinner in the hotel and it was above the everage for what we have experienced during our Inner-Mongolia trip.

考虑到这个城镇，这是一家非常好的酒店。房间很宽敞，所有设施都有，无线网络运行良好。早餐有很多西式和中式的选择。我们还在酒店吃了一顿晚餐，这比我们在内蒙古旅行期间所经历的要高。

抢购价，198一晚，双床标间，不含早餐，次日14点前退房。以前吃过自助餐厅的早餐，很一般，所以不送就不送吧，酒店斜对面的孙记包子更有大同的感觉。|住在B座，但根据以往经验，A座的房间更好点。wifi免费，速度很快（大概没人住的缘故？|要是真要用五星的标准去要求还真是有点距离，但是想一想价格，做梦都会笑醒啊~
