Got a room here cheap as a relative worked here. hallways and lobby were not Air conditioned, but the room came with one so it was quite comfortable. I got a room in the executive level, which came with a desktop computer. Good for skype, checking emails, and reddit. The washroom had no issues, did not try using the safe . ||||The location is what makes this hotel great. Its close to a lot of great restaurants, scenic views be the water, and shops.||||Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone who wants to be conviently located in kaiping and knows some chinese.

If you're a foreigner wanting a to stay somewhere that is easy to get to and from, within walking distance to the Kaiping Bus station (note that if you're taking a bus to Kaiping, make sure you get off at the main station and not the alternative stop in the city), and a comfortable stay, this place does the job.||||If you want to waste your money on a 5 start hotel, go ahead. It's all about comfort and location. Rooms are fairly priced, have nice bathrooms and a TV is you're bored. The bed caters to Chinese tourists, so it's a hard mattress, but not uncomfortable.||||You can check in anytime so you don't have to rush your travel plans. If you need some western food, there is a Mcdonalds and KFC across the street from the bus station. I recommend waking up early in the morning, checking out the local market across the street, and then taking a cab to Chikan where you can rent a bike and go to Zili Village to see the dialous.

I chose this based on previous reviews on Ctrip and tripadvisor about the excellent location and have to agree that the location is awesome. Within a few minutes walk from the bus station and very close to the shopping streets and can very easy to find a taxi outside the hotel. There is also a KFC and Mc Donalds just around the corner (you can see them on google map for this place)||||But everything else was pathetic. ||||The name is ironic, there is nothing new about this hotel. The ground floor is shared with some kind of auto repair shop and one of the other floors have some finance company. The outlook of the hotel was quite grimy like the rest of the neighborhood near the bus stop. My wife aptly commented that the whole place looks like one big garage.||||The lobby only had one sofa and 2 chairs and at any given time there were always 3-4 people slouching around. So, there was no place to wait comfortably.||||English level was non existent. They had nobody that understood a word of english. The room had damp spots on the wall and bathroom fixtures were broken. Badly in need to maintenance and refurbishment.||||The bed was rock hard, but I shouldnt be complaining about it since I had been forewarned by previous reviews and anyways, its not that big a deal for me.||||Cannot comment on the food since I did not try it, and I dont recommend you to either.||||This hotel is OK if you are going to be travelling most of the time and just want to sleep in. But not worth it if you want to spend any amount of time in the hotel itself.

I traveled to Kaiping during the cold wave in the winter of 2010. Since southern China has no indoor heating of any kind, I was very happy to find my room here heated. I was given an executive room for CNY 338. I set the thermostat on max and got the room temperature to 23C. This was the most staisfying aspect of the stay as plenty of other hotels in the region are not heated.||||The hotel is centrally located, two blocks from the Changsha bus station. The executive rooms came with a free desktop computer to use. There is supposed to be free cable internet but that did not work. Many hotel beds in China inexplicably seem to be rock hard as was this one. The room was large and comfortable. No English was spoken at reception.

今年夏天和家人到开平时入住。|开平新世界大酒店位置还可以，离步行街、江边走廊都不太远，附近购物都方便。|酒店虽然在马路边，我住的房也靠马路一边，但酒店在靠马路一边的客房均加装了玻璃幕墙做隔音处理，所以不觉得嘈杂。房间整洁干净，房间不大，有许多当地旅游景点的介绍资料。|此次入住感受挺好的，在这个价位，也说不出该酒店有什么不好的，价格非常平易，很适合商务出差，多个家庭、集体出游。就在开平市区，静中带旺，离开平碉楼、赤坎古镇都不远。很值得推荐给各位朋友。

服务ok，尤其停车场保安非常尽责，每次见到都很负责的指挥。停车场很大，停车方便，可惜标志不是太明显。周边的生活设施很齐全，例如就有肯德基、麦当劳、屈臣氏，超方便。超赞的是房间配有电脑(笔记本之前刚好坏了)，配置很新，网速挺快，虽然加多15块钱，但我觉得值！如果房价再便宜一点和床褥再软一点就perfect了。

第一次到开平，挺繁荣发达的。觉得该酒店的性价比真是很高。尤其网速快得让人爽快！还有免费国内电话，不久又到开平，会再次选择的。房间够大，很干净，设备齐全，住得舒服。离325国道很近，去附近碉楼景点很方便，顺着开，去最近的碉楼，也只有15分钟的路程。

卫生差，房间小，价格贵，我对这家酒店就没有什么好印象。当时住的是那里的标准间，入住后发现房间很小。里面的卫生状况最让我不满意，房间里的地面打扫得不干净，还有垃圾，卫生间里能看到有烟头和烟灰，床上还有头发，整个房间的卫生状况真的是一团糟。而且那里的服务人员的工作态度也不是很热情，让人感觉很不舒服。如果有朋友再去那边的话，我一定不会推荐他住这家店的。
