The reception staff is very helpful, although more English-speaking staff would be advisable as most of the staff does not speak English and it is a 5star hotel. I would like to mention Lisa who speaks English and was very helpful, providing useful information regarding hotel facilities, Covid test places and places of interest. Big up to Lisa! The breakfast buffet is okay, but the pastry choice is a bit limited and, generally, it feels that the hotel does not really cater for western guests (mainly Chinese dishes). The buffet lounge is full of light; it is very spacious and facing the seaside, which is great. However, the cleanliness can be improved as the tables and the floor were not cleaned quickly enough, and my table and the floor under it were greasy/dirty. The facilities are quite varied. The pools, gym, tennis court, steam room were used during my stay and they were in good condition. The steam room takes a long time to heat up though. The staff in the gym/swimming pool does not speak English at all. The table tennis room and some other facilities were under maintanace during our stay, so we did not use them. Overall, the hotel has more recreational facilities than most hotels. Well done! Regarding the location, the hotel is on the coast, but the sea is not swimmable there, so you can only enjoy the view. The hotels near the main Silver beach (for example, Crowne Plaza) are considerably more expensive (about 500rmb difference), so a 30-min taxi ride there (costs around 30 rmb one way) still makes the Furama hotel a much more economical option. The sea view from the rooms is very nice!Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and a late checkout was highly appreciated! My rating of the hotel is 4.5.

The hotel is large and beautifully decorated. The rooms were spacious, clean and had a great view over the sea.There is a small beach downstairs from the hotel and the old street is around 15 minutes walk away. However, there aren't that many restaurants close to the hotel. Breakfast was great as we're the gym and swimming pool.Big thankyou to Lincoln who really went out of his way to help on my stay and even assisted in booking tickets.

I travel for work. This was a very nice hotel to stay at. The room was large and clean and 5-star. Bed large and comfortable, bathroom was large very clean and richly laid out. Staff was very friendly and helpful even with me not knowing how to speak Chinese. Gym was well equipped. Don't hesitate to stay here.

The Furama Hotel Beihai is a one that will make you feel at home. The check in service was considerably fast since this hotel is not at all crowded. The room itself was clean and very nice. The lighting of the room is bright and the bed is quite comfortable. The bathroom looks luxurious as it is partly made from marble and there is both a bath tub and a shower. My hotel room was the view to the sea, which can be frustrating. The first day, there was an enormous amount of fog, so basically you couldn't see anything from the window. The hotel will charge higher prices for hotel rooms on higher floors, so if it is very foggy during your stay, you should probably keep to the lower levels. The dining options are excellent. Among the options is a Chinese-themed restaurant and a more Western-style buffet, both serving above average food. The breakfast is in a buffet-style, but the food served each day are mostly the same, with just some slight changes. This is a con of this hotel. Everything else about the hotel I found satisfying.

The hotel service is good and friendly from bellboy to room service. My room is cozy and facing the beach with a nice view overlooking the sea n beach and also people fishing with traditional way. The room has a totally transparent bathroom. At first, I was not quite use to the transparent bathroom because of the usual sense of privacy. But, I was all by myself, so why worry. Modern fixture and furniture, but not much international channel or program to choose from when watching TV. |The lounge cafe serves food only in limited hours and a lot of the dishes on the menu are not available. It is a good place where you have a good view of the sunset. Its main restaurant does serve buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. A wide varieties of dishes to choose from especially when you are in Beihai, Guangxi. |They have an indoor and outdoor pool next to the gym, I used the indoor pool a couple times during my stay with the hotel. the outdoor pool is bigger than the indoor pool while the indoor pool is lined and seems more for lap swimmer. So, good for serious swimmers. |It is right at the beach, so just a 5-10 mins stroll will get you to the beach where you can enjoy fresh breeze while walking on the boardwalk.|For Beihai at Guangxi, I think this is a pretty good hotel as it is in a second or third tier city in China.

We chose to stay at Furama Hotel because we wanted the best...and we got it! For two nights, we stayed in a clean, nicely-decorated and luxurious room. The bathroom is big and the bed is super comfortable. Our room overlooked the bay and the sunsets were spectacular. Our room was on the business floor and we had access to the executive lounge, which was also well-maintained, spacious and well-stocked with foods and drinks. We also took advantage of the hotel lounge and sat next to the windows looking out to the bay. The night we were there, the lounge had a cocktail special that was pay one time and order as many cocktails as you like from a special menu. The price was small, maybe it was 81RMB (around $12.50) and the cocktails were small too. However, since it was unlimited, it was easy to have three or four, thus allowing us to have yummy cocktails at unheard of prices at a 5 star hotel lounge. Make sure you check it out. When we return to Beihai, we will return to Furama. I recommend this hotel to all who read this review and please be sure to enjoy the photos I took.

This hotel is great. The staff go out of their way to serve you however they can and in English. The only downfall of the hotel, was that they don’t have a game room, they close the golf area and the bowling staff member were very rude. He reset three games before we finished and basically just laughed at us. He works at a bowling alley, but didn’t understand or know that you play ten rounds. Apart from this member of staff laughing at us. recommend staying at this hotel. But don’t expect to be able to use any of the entertainment facilities in the hotel.
