华豫国际酒店

The hotel accepts foreigners. Free pickup, dropoff (airport/train station…). Reception does not speak english so translation app will help. They are very helpful, even helped me with sending a parcel. Room is old but clean and spacious. There is even a working desk with a computer. Typical business hotel for the Chinese I guess. Walking distance to Hotan Night Market (out of the hotel just turn right to Renmin road and straight to the crossroad, crossing the road then it is a tunnel-shaped building which is the night market). No hair dryer though and I could not find wifi of my room so I had to use that of the other room. In the hotel room there is a guidebook to Hotan and you can use it to ask the reception to help you catch a taxi to the destination you want. Jade market is the most famous spot here and many Han Chinese come to Hotan for that. Everything in Hotan must be taxed heavily or so (for the massive construction that is going on?!), everything is more expensive than Kashgar and other cities in Xinjiang. So at least this hotel price is quite ok for this range in Hotan.

从广东一路來到新疆，這家酒店的服務態度非常好！从剛到酒店门口的保安热情指挥停车，到前台办理入住的柜員都非常貼心，超贊！環境也很舒服。

We stayed at the Huayu International Hotel in late April 2019 as 4 foreigners. We were told by trip.com that this is the only hotel in Hotan allowed to accept foreigners. We had 2 rooms, 1 twin room and 1 "Executive Suite" with a double bed, both on the "VIP floor" 13.||Check-in took a good 20 minutes due to a complete lack of English language skills of the hotel staff. Even though our Chinese skills are also quite limited, the typical check-in procedure should not be that difficult. ||The rooms smelled very badly of cigarettes and bad plumbing. One of the suite's two toilets was clogged (but at least this one did not smell). Also the carpets were very dirty and stained, definitely not a place to walk barefoot.||The bathrooms were small but ok, with good water pressure and temperature. Unfortunately in late April the A/C did not work, so it was above 27 degrees (C) for the whole night. There was no hair dryer, but all other typical amenities and a not very cold minibar fridge. Wifi did not work reliably and there were only 2 power outlets (far away from the bed).||The hotel has a small shop for drinks including cold drinks. The breakfast buffet (8:30-10:30) was already mostly eaten up at 9:30 and consistet of typical Chinese breakfast. No Western dishes at all, only toast (but no toaster), also no coffee.||The location is ok, 1 block to the West is the phantastic night market, 1 block North is a nice little cafe.||Overall a very typical Chinese hotel with low international standard. However, it's probably one of the best places for foreigners in Hotan/Hetian and at least on a reliably mediocre standard level.

There has not been much in the way of reviews of the Hotan hotels since my last visit in 2014.||||I visited Hotan again this year (2016) and stayed at the Huayu International Hotel again. I’m happy to say that the hotel is much improved!||||Apparently there has been a change in ownership and the hotel reflects this. Every aspect of the hotel has improved.||||There is now staff on hand who speak English. The rooms have been updated and improved. The room was nicely clean (no small feat when in Hotan, due to the frequent sand/dust storms).||||Greatly improved is the restaurant. It is now an “A” rating for safety (formerly a “C”). The food is better and the buffets are pretty extensive. Wait-staff was attentive. They pride themselves on their “Western” restaurant. While it is strictly a Chinese restaurant, they brought me a nice pepper-steak without asking – just because I am a “westerner”.||||Just a few steps from the hotel is a nice Uygur restaurant. A little further down is a well-stocked convenience store for pop, etc.||||The hotel is a bit out of the way. It is probably a 15 minute walk to either the center square or to the Grand Bazaar – not bad.||||Keep in mind that taxi drivers do not speak English. You will need your destination in Uygur or they won’t accept you as a passenger. Most taxi drivers do not speak or read Chinese. The hotel can do this for you.||||With the change in ownership, I can recommend this hotel. It isn’t a Hampton Inn, but it is certainly a nice alternative in Xinjiang Province.

This supposedly to be a China local 4* hotel must have been deteriorated since its opening that’s why many international reviewers rated it a 2 or 3* star hotel. ||There are reasons for the poor rating. Firstly, hotel receptionists are rude and have attitude problems. When you asked them something, example like what is the wifi password and where is the nearest convenient store? The way they answered you can make you feel that you are a hassle to them. Don’t believe? Try it yourself.||Secondly, the facilities and fittings in room are poor maintained and lack servicing that’s why some of fittings are not working properly without being fixed. Examples are hot water is immediately available when you checked into your room, and it can run inconsistent meaning you can get cold water running from the hot water outlet while bathing. Others include electrical PowerPoint not working and there are not being fixed. What I found out is many of the electrical PowerPoints were tripped and if you know what to do you can fix it yourself by resetting the ECB which is located inside the wardrobe. ||What’s most frustrating are electrical powerpoints are poorly located which make charging your devices extremely inconvenient. Just don’t understand why can’t the PowerPoints be installed near the writing desk???||Wifi speed in room is a complete letdown, latency is around 200ms, download speed is at 0.3Mbps while upload speed is slightly better at 3Mbps, what’s even worse is mobile data speed from the room is also very pathetic which I don’t know why. I was using my mobile data on the streets and the speed though slow but still can access FaceBook and WhatsApp, but when in room these become tougher, really frustrating. ||Breakfast only serve from 8am, and it is not the type of breakfast you would get from a local 4* hotel in Urumqi or Burqin. Good thing is they have a fruit platter which include banana, good as energy booster for those not used to having Chinese breakfast. ||Overall, It is just a place for putting one night and move on, hence my rating for this hotel.

As stated by a previous reviewer little English is spoken in this supposedly 4 star hotel. It rates rather as a low 3 star due to lack of maintenance and poor breakfast for the Western taste.|Our first room had a drain smell so bad it made one gag and the carpets were very badly stained. The second room still had a smelly drain and the carpet was also stained both to a lesser degree than the first. An easy fix with caustic soda solution but not attempted.|Positives. The bed was firm but comfortable, bottled water and pears were provided in the room.|Breakfasts do not cater to western tastes. There is no coffee or black tea, a strange orange cordial purports to be orange juice. The bread is sweet and there is no toaster. Fresh fruit and yoghurt is available along with fried and boiled eggs. To drink the choices are green tea. Hot water and hot milk.|If you want a Chinese style breakfast you will be happy.|This hotel needs to lift its game with cleanliness and service if it wishes to cater to westerners as well as Chinese guests.

The hotel is Chinese 4 star rated. It is just OK. Nothing special. Only a very few on staff speak any English (not their fault!). Although it is an “International Hotel”, the hotel does not accept international credit cards, so the deposit and room, meals and laundry must be paid in cash. ||||It was very difficult to get reservations at this hotel! Agoda and Ctrip were unable to make the reservations and I finally had to get a local China travel agency to secure the reservations.||||Each day the room key "expires" requiring a return trip to the lobby to get it updated – an annoyance. I was at the hotel for three nights and while the towels were changed daily, the room was not cleaned, nor the bed made up (or changed) during my stay. Sewer gas belched up through the shower drain off and on during the day and night.||||The hotel is in good shape and as clean as you could keep it in a dusty environment. None of the promotional or informational material in the room is in English. The hotel is quite a long hike from the center of Hotan. The West Lake and Yu Du Hotels are much closer to the action.||||The breakfast is not so hot. Eggs are put out on cold plates at opening (8:30 Beijing time) and just left there. Juice consists of a jug of clear "orange juice". The coffee was just being put on to warm up (it had been made sometime before) when I got to the dining room. There was no bread available. Most of the food was Chinese dishes – some looked like leftovers. The restaurant has a posted "Grade B" rating.

设施：陳旧，房間裝修、毛巾都偏黃偏旧卫生：房間挺干淨环境：電梯全都是煙味，很多人在電梯內吸煙服务：很到家，在攜程中要非吸煙房，前台兩位姐姐留意到，还專登為我們确認了一遍，非常用心！
