Ramada by Wyndham Shanghai Pudong

Hotel is located 20 minutes away from airport. There are actually two Ramada hotels near the airport so make sure you double check before getting on the shuttle bus. We took the wrong shuttle bus to another Ramada, and have to find a taxi to bring us to the correct one. Problem is that the two hotels is only 15 minutes away from each other and no taxi drivers want to do it. The hotel is kind of old and they are doing renovations when we were there. Lobby, hallway, and the rooms we got are very spacious. One problem we got was the outside traffic noise, and we have to use ear plugs for sleeping. The hotel offers free wifi but we weren’t able to get connected because it ask for ************** cell phone number for login. Breakfast is not included but the price is reasonable giving the variety of food they have. All staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The parking lot seems very spacious if you need to park there. We didn’t use the shuttle bus and I believe it runs on hours and you will need to put in request in advance.

Located in Close to the Pudong airport and Shanghai Disneyland. They have free shuttle bus running to and from those 2 locations. Exterior looks nice but thin walls, old equipments, low shower power, no fridges in the room. Might be ok to just sleep and go but do not recommend to stay for vacation.

Like most hotels in that price range : it has a certain cigarette smell… However the staff is quite nice and the hotel is conveniently location near Pudong Airport, perfect for a long layover or a tiring late night arrival in Shanghai… room price is fair!

Old Hotel. Seems like renovation is going on. The Hallway had a lot of smell. Three star standard Hotel, with the best part was the shuttle service to the Airport, which saved us from all the Hassles of early morning arrival at Pudong airport.

Chose this hotel because it was near to the airport (by direct distance). The actual shuttle bus ride takes about 15 to 20 minutes. We took the 4:30 am shuttle for our departing flight. The hotel is in an industrial area and not near any metro stations. We took the hotel shuttle to Pudong airport, then switch to the Maglev station or metro line 2 to go to downtown Shanghai. Do inform the hotel staff in advance when you want to use the shuttle service, because it doesn't operate round the clock during off-peak time. Service staff are polite and helpful. We arrived at 8:30 am and they quickly cleared 2 rooms for us so we can check in at 10:30 am to take a rest. Check-out was fast too, just left room cards at the lobby and they waved us off with smiling faces. There is a small shopping centre just across the street with many restaurants. One of them serves cheap and delicious food like 小笼包 (dumplings) and 生煎包 (fried buns). Slightly further away is a local supermarket where you can buy snacks as souvenir. If you're a foreigner and wants to contact the hotel, call them to ask for their WeChat number, then you can communicate further (e.g. arrange for airport pick up) via WeChat.

This hotel newly renovated. I love the modern design n spacious . Reception are friendly . Hotel shuttle in service until midnight , this is really convenient. Definitely wish to stay extra day

I ended up booking a room at the Ramada tonight for the first time because I flew into PVG, was thinking about leaving on another international flight tomorrow, but I didn't want to stay in the Dazhong (I also haven't actually stayed there myself, so perhaps my bias against it isn't fully justified).On the one hand, I'm certainly not wowed by the Ramada. On the other hand, it definitely lives up to the "peaceful neighborhood" billing that several others have afforded it.The location is astonishingly bad wrt subway access (i.e. no stations on within ~9 km).There is a mid-sized Lianhua across the street from the hotel.For 外卖, you're looking at McDs, KFC, Dominos, some random Chinese restaurants, and most of the usual suspect chained convenience stores.I happened to luck out on the airport shuttle front because I called just prior to booking the room, and one of the scheduled runs was minutes away. Otherwise, it is loosely scheduled service, and they want you to arrange it at least 2 hours in advance.I guess my ultimate conclusion (at this point in time) is that while I'm unable to offer a glowing endorsement, I'm hard pressed to think of any specific examples of properties that better suit the layover mission, for those that hope to escape the airport environment.

Great location next to airport for a short transit. Great room, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not that fresh in western side, the fruits as well were not freshly cut. Good Chinese breakfast choices. Very nice snd helpful staff. Free shuttle from and to airport. Make sure to book if you need a pick up. We didn’t know they could pick up in the airport and we took a taxi ( driver was unhappy for the short distance).
