Staff are great and very friendly and helpful. Nice place, breakfast buffet is the best. We got stuck there during the typhoon, but still had a great time.

According to name, I assume the hotel link more to the lake, which is located on the opposite site of the park and further steps...We booked for going to Haicheng Ocean Park, that was very convenient. There is no shuttle service but taxi ride is quite convenient and fast to be fair.Staff did not speak English, not even try to speak English, always denied and did not understand a word.Room was big. Play Corner for kid was OK. Breakfast was variety. Freshly made omelette was delicious.We communicated with hotel before we arrived about a special arrangement for our son's birthday... They promised a cake, but didn't get it. Asked at reception, none know about arrangements at all.

Per some of the photos, this is a child friendly hotel with the themes to match. The check in process did not go smoothly as I had expected as I am reasonably sure I booked a single bed but was given a twin with the children’s theme (twice). I managed to get a proper room after the third attempt. I am glad I was not in a hurry that day. The room I eventually got was good and had no issues apart from the thermostat being in Chinese only, so it took a few minutes to figure it out. Not a major problem, but again that was only because I was not in a rush and the room was already at a reasonable temperature. The lobby has two PS4 consoles which had the kids all over them during the day. If I had not been so tired I would have been fighting off the kids to get onto them 😂. Evening meals at the hotel were so so. I did try my luck outside, but went off in the wrong direction as I was relying on Google Maps so my food choices were also pretty average. Google Maps in China is not very helpful and can be very misleading. The other English language platforms are only slightly better. I am not sure how good the local ones were as I had trouble getting it to work most of the time. The times I did get it to work did not help much as it did not have English as an option. Breakfast at the hotel was ok as there is a reasonable amount of choice. There were a lot of visitors when I stayed so the restaurant was quite packed. They have a self service laundry which I thought was a good touch. I do not think this location gets many overseas visitors and is more suited for the locals as communicating in English was a bit of a challenge. Translator apps did not work at the pace needed when there are people waiting behind you in the queue. I would not hesitate to stay here with family, but would consider other locations next time I visit this region. Everything was good, just probably not so convenient for me location wise. Maybe I should have headed westbound during my adventures.

Very good hotel conveniently located close to maritime and space museum.A nice playground for kids, I would just recommend to avoid violent X-Box games just side to younger kids activities.Very good breakfast buffet to fit both local an international tastes.Only issue was shower. Seems they don't know about thermostatatic tap. It's more binary tap: we could only get 50° C or 10° C

My wife and I visited the growing Shanghai Lingang area to reunite with our son who works nearby to the hotel in China , and to meet his wife and granddaughter, so we event there for a traditional holiday/sightseeing tour. Lingang is a developing part of Shanghai, approx 40kms from the CBD, and whilst not on the international travel circuit, but caters predominantly for the local clientele, esp families with nearby venues such as Ocean Park, Dishui Lake, the Space Museum and Nautical Museum nearby, and Disney Shanghai about 25kms away.||The welcome at the hotel was lovely after a long flight, very friendly staff who catered for us, even though we had no local language skills. (Apart from Hello and Thanks). We had a 2 weeks stay in a suite, which gave us room to spread ourselves. ||As mentioned, the hotel predominately attracts local stays, and suitably the amenities reflect this. It’s not a spot to sit in your room and watch English language TV, but my wife and I enjoyed being able to share and see the different culture in the dining area and hotel. ||A big buffet option, with omelette and noodle station, and many local delicacies available. The staff coped with our language barrier very well, and always looked to help. Even on the first morning where I tried to work out which jug had black tea, the staff ensured there was a little sign written on it for my stay. It was a nice, local set of options, again suited for their regular guests. We also enjoyed afternoon tea with a variety of petit fours, fruits and biscuits which were great. We also had dinner in a few nights, and when looking for a change from local fare, the steak was cooked excellently, nice and juicy (but would have been perfect if the pepper sauce was a little creamier and peppery) and the burger vey filling. But I reckon you should be adventurous and try some of the local offerings…..whether at breakfast or throughout.||It isn’t like a western hotel with room service, but the dining options go until 9pm. The local guests are also familiar with the incredible number of delivery options which get delivered to the lobby ( which is common throughout)||The Manager made sure to welcome us each day, and encouraged his staff to talk with us throughout, encouraging them to practice their English skills. They even allowed us a large checkout to cater for our return flight.||The location was ideal for our needs, and allowed us to experience more of a Chinese feel, than being at a Western hotel ‘transplanted’ in the region. The area surrounding the hotel gave us easy access to local restaurants, malls and transport (and predominantly was close to family). ||Some recommendations for visitors to Shanghai generally - Google Translate allowed us to convert signs, and communicate with staff/drivers , and explore Alipay Tour Card to allow you to purchase items as China is well on the way to being cashless, and these payment systems allow you to pay, book things, order meals at restaurants, etc. They have limits on how much to load, so look into it before you go. But at the hotel, a standard credit card/ bank travel money card worked.||All in all, it was an ideal place for us to stay for our particular trip. We weren’t there for a big tour/exploration of Shanghai, but needed a place in Lingang we could rest, feel very comfortable and welcome, and allowed us to experience more of the local way of life. A clean, bright friendly hotel with staff that looked after us, even though we weren’t their traditional guests. We loved it as “fish out of water’ and felt relaxed throughout. Thanks for a great stay, and looking forward to returning to enjoy an unspoilt, local, pleasant experience.

We had an amazing stay at Holiday Inn! On arrival we were upgraded to a family room by Echo (multiple staff members speak English!) and we were able to check in early! The room was a great size and clean. Buffet breakfast in the morning had plenty of choice for both westerners and Chinese. The hotel is greatly situated near the lake, near Haichang Ocean Park and near the planetarium!

酒店很好逛，室外泳池，真的是度假风拉满，隔壁因为是游艇俱乐部，时不时湖上有游艇人经过，还有充满古风的杏园雅集。至少到现在，我妈还在不停安利身边的人去住。|早上，出房间在湖边就能看到日出，我真的是第一次看到太阳在对面的地平线冉冉升起。

|【一、概览 | Overview】|「酒店综合推荐指数（满分五颗星）：5星。」||      酒店常旅客会籍级别：IHG钻石精英，酒店住了1126家，上海的酒店住了95家，其中浦东新区的酒店打卡了28家。|      综合评价（亮点与不足之处、遗憾之处）：我入住期间，不是旺季，入住客人大约80-100人左右，入住率大约三、四成吧。但到了节假日，酒店几乎天天爆满，毕竟位置、性价比都太好了，特别适合江浙沪尤其是魔都的孩子们来度周末。||【二、客房 | In Room】|「欢迎礼及升级礼遇：欢迎水果中规中矩，升级到的套房面积超大，适合一家三口或四口入住，在房间里简单做有氧运动或无氧运动都完全没问题，完全可以升级为逸衡。」||      客房布局及硬件评价：无浴缸，淋浴出水快、给水足。电视可以收到四个外国频道：CNN、ESPN、探索和HBO，网速不是特别快（解决方法可以采用多次重复断开、忽略该网络，重新链接等）。矿泉水采用了景田，在上海同级别酒店中，还是少见的。|      Minibar、卫浴备品：迷你吧完全免费，有多种软饮和橙汁等。判断一家酒店的某一客房入住率高不高，可以挤压大瓶装的润肤露，如果出口处有硬质结痂，那大概率就是这屋子好久没人住了，如果出润肤露顺畅，则代表这间房子入住率高，至少最近是住过客人的。|      客房景观：整栋楼不高，属于那种长条形的建筑风格，类似的像是济南临空智选假日等，都是这种，感觉走廊长，但很温暖，饱蘸人情味。||【三、餐饮 | Dining】|「行政酒廊餐食种类、服务：无行政酒廊，但是会赠送60元餐饮抵扣券。类似的，CP是赠送90元餐券、洲际是赠送120元餐券。」||      酒店早餐、服务：早餐丰盛，菜品齐全，热菜和凉菜里都有海鲜类，符合在地特征。葱油饼和奥尔良鸡腿肉都是难得一见的特色。|      酒店餐厅硬件、口味和服务：餐厅叫“嗨碗”，复古大巴造型的面包甜品台特别适合打卡，特色牛肉面中还有少量海鲜原料，算是创新了。||【四、设施 | Facilities】|「健身房：健身房是自助形式，刷卡进入，面积大，器械全。美中不足的是，我练到一半儿，就有工程部的师傅赶我了，其实完全没有必要。因为任何酒店的健身房都是有免责声明的，这样的声明往往还被贴在健身房的墙上，商家完全不必多虑，当然，要是考虑费电和安静等因素就另当别论了。目前，酒店健身房有这几种：第一是酒店自营，有上下班开放时间，尤其是泳池，没有救生员是很危险的；第二种是外包，委托旁的公司运营，也对外办卡，因为也有员工，所以亦有开放关闭时间；第三种是24小时的，刷卡或按密码进入即可。滴水湖假日的健身房原本属于最后一种，但又规定了开放时间，显然就很鸡肋和各色了。」||      泳池：无泳池。|      儿童游乐：一楼大堂区域有极大的儿童游乐区，包括了合影区、玩具区、读书区、玩乐区、游戏机区等，装修精致，布局合理。在客房电梯口一楼入口处，有迪士尼玩具和卡游官方卡牌共计两台自动售卖机，和零食饮料售卖机，分别照顾了女孩儿和男孩儿的兴趣，店家非常懂孩子的心理轨迹。现在家庭型的假日酒店主推的卡通形象不再是布迷熊了，而是五只可爱的、来自外星的萌兽：暴暴狮、毛毛球、游游猫、懵懵象、骄骄鸟，不知道会不会像以前的布迷熊一样，有足够多的周边纪念品和玩偶。|      商务中心：一楼大堂有相关公区，可以用来洽谈，酒店与某著名足浴品牌门店是一体的，只是不同的两个门，特别适合宴请完客户后休闲放松。||【五、难忘瞬间 | the Moments】|「优点及不足之处：自助洗衣房在一楼，完全免费，多准备些洗衣袋和手提袋在洗衣房就完美了。」||      明星员工突出表现与嘉奖：前台的小女孩儿办事条分缕析，相当专业。凌晨去洗衣房洗衣，看到值夜班的她在前台伏案打盹儿，真的很辛苦，致敬。||【六、总结 | Conclusion】|「旅途精彩时刻：在临港片区，这绝对是性价比最高的选择，毕竟滴水湖洲际太贵，海昌海洋公园奥特曼酒店是员工宿舍改的，硬件很差，两相对比，这家滴水湖假日的性价比瞬间就凸显出来了。」||      周边美食、景点、娱乐：旁边就是大型商场，避风塘的玫瑰豉油鸡还是一如既往地正宗。|      酒店位置、交通：旁边有地铁站，若是一直坐到徐泾东站，得两个多小时。打车的话，即便是远途特价拼车，到市区也要两百左右，还是自驾最合适。
