As near to siyuan gate SJTU as it could be. The service was incredible patient but can't speak English. Helped me to move luggage. Price was too high in my opinion. Warm and cozy in rainy winter. Convenient furniture.

First of all: The hotel's name in English is written as Lieading Man, Lieding Men, Leading Man, Leading Men, and Redding Man. You will see any and all of these forms written, both in the hotel and outside of it. So if you have trouble finding its name, now you know why.||||Second: This hotel is not in central Shanghai. Far from it, it's very close to the southern campus of Jiaotong University. That's not bad, but you should realize that there is no nearby metro service, and that a taxi between the center of town and the hotel will easily take 45-60 minutes. I was able to get a taxi via Didi within minutes every time I called for one, so the remote location doesn't mean that you'll be completely on your own.||||I've stayed at this hotel 3-4 times now, when I had business at the high-tech area near Jiaotong University. The hotel isn't bad: The rooms are clean, it's quiet, the bed is comfortable, and the shower is reasonable. The hotel doesn't have anything extra, such as an exercise room, but if the weather is good enough, then you can walk a short distance (10 minutes) to a nearby park and green area, and walk or run there. ||||My room had a refrigerator in it (which is pretty standard in Chinese hotels), but I had to turn it on (which is also standard). ||||The hotel basically assumes that its guests are Chinese. I was the only Westerner I ever saw at the hotel. However, I speak some Chinese, and thus was able to communicate with the staff that way — and I have to say that they were, without exception, helpful and nice.||||One symptom of their assumption that all guests are Chinese is the Wifi connection, which is free *but* assumes that you have a Chinese phone number, to receive a code/password via SMS. The desk clerks were uniformly helpful on this front, and used their phones to give me a 24-hour login. And yes, this meant that I had to return to the front desk every 24 hours for their help, but they didn't seem to mind. (I, however, found this to be a pain.)||||If you're in this area of Shanghai, then the Redding Mann hotel is a good option. (It might only be the only option, for all I know!) But if you don't have any specific reason to stay in this area, then there's nothing super attractive about the hotel.

The rooms were ok. Breakfast was good. The receptionist could hardly understand any English. The worst part was that the room had bed bugs. Both my husband and I have multiple bug bites and we feel extremely uncomfortable even after we left the hotel. Although I tried to explain the problem they hardly did anything about it.

闺蜜家楼下新开的酒店，6月24号晚上忙完闺蜜的婚礼过去入住的，前台夜班姐姐的笑容好美，工作服也好漂亮，去了房间晕乎得空调不知道怎么开，打电话去前台问，隔着听筒都能感受到前台姐姐讲话的耐心和温柔，夜班很辛苦，能保持标准的服务态度已经很不错，但那位姐姐的服务态度已经高于标准而是极致。|夜班姐姐的笑容难忘，平易近人，早晨起晚了她应该交班了没有看到她，下次去上海还住这里。

Leadingmen hotel is near Jiao Tong university, is clean with modern and convenient furniture. The breakfast except the chinese plates, has also european choices. The area around is safe, quiet with a lot ofchinese restaurants andmany students.

利德曼酒店靠近交通大学，干净整洁，家具现代且方便。早餐除了中式餐盘外，还有欧式选择。周围地区安全、安静，有很多中餐馆和很多学生。

Good hotel with friendly staffs who tried to communicate with me in Chinese and help me out with complicated Chinese payment.

This hotel wasn’t good as it was in the photo, the incense was very irritating, after checking in I couldn’t BELEIVE what I saw in the room, it’s like back in the 90s, the worst is that they refused to refund the payments after I refused to accept the room, I had to stay up all night looking for another hotel 😢
