The hotel itself is perfectly comfortable for the price point and the rooms are clean and appointed with all the basic ammenities you need while travelling. The staff were very friendly and although we didn't speak the language, they were very patient with us while we attempted to use our translator apps when required! The location is a very long way from the centre of Beijing however. We stayed here as part of a tour group, however if you're wanting to spend extra time exploring Beijing at leisure like we did, it is a difficult spot to get home to at the end of the night. I would recommend the hotel if you're looking for a hotel in this location. If you want to be more central, then I'd suggest looking at other options.

My recent stay at The Skytel Hotel in Beijing, left me with mixed feelings. While it's an average choice for travelers, it serves its purpose well for those on the go. The hotel offers unique amenities like underground karaoke, which was a pleasant surprise, but it's easy to miss if you're not actively looking for it. However, the prevalence of indoor smoking was a significant downside, making it difficult to breathe at times and leaving a strong cigarette odor in the room. On a positive note, the housekeeping staff provided fresh towels daily and maintained cleanliness despite the smoking issue. Additionally, the breakfast offered at the hotel was good, and I highly recommend trying their soup—it's worth it. Overall, The Skytel Hotel offers decent amenities and service, but the smoking may deter some guests from fully enjoying their stay.

Great hotel. Rooms spacious and beds firm but comfortable. Toiletries provided. Buffett breakfast was amazing with cereals, veges, dumplings, fried rice, juice coffee & pastries/toast. ATM close by with local shops also. Service fantastic.

Enjoyed our stay here. It seemed the rest of the tour group felt the same- with TripADeal. The rooms were clean and large. Good shower. We found one TV channel playing recent English speaking movies (40) Buffett breakfasts were great. Some complained about cigarette smoke smell- I didn’t notice it too much. Definitely not in our room. Convenience store next door. Restaurants nearby with little English but still good fun and good food.
