水関長城旁的精品民宿，订的房间是可以看到長城的景，这家的管家及阿姨非常的不错，入住當天刚好下阵雨無法外出，阿姨就给我们家鄉水饺，當晚幸福滿滿，民宿的景非常的秀丽処処藏巧思，还有一隻友善的小白猫，这次的旅游有回到家的感觉。

Overall, the experience was positive, with several standout features.The hotel itself was exceptionally clean and had fresh-smelling rooms. The staff were generally helpful and responsive to our needs, attending to requests promptly when we communicated them clearly. The photographer we used was particularly kind and patient. The location was convenient, with the Badaling Great Wall just a short distance away. Getting a taxi to the airport (about 1 hour 20 minutes away) was also easy.However, there were a few areas for improvement. The limited availability of food and snacks nearby means it’s best to bring your own supplies. While there is a restaurant about 400m away, the quality of food wasn't great. We also found the hotel's assistance with booking excursions to be quite expensive – charging three times the typical price. Finally, while the staff were generally helpful, one front desk employee seemed tired and rather impolite on our last day, sighing audibly when we asked about the pool. This was a minor issue, but could be improved.The pillows were also exceptionally high, which may cause discomfort for people with neck or back problems.Despite these minor drawbacks, I'd recommend this hotel. The cleanliness, convenient location, helpful staff (most of the time!), and proximity to the Badaling Great Wall outweigh the negatives. I would happily return, armed with my own snacks and mindful of the potentially pricey booking services. I'd rate the overall service an 8-10 out of 10. Remember to communicate your needs promptly for best results!

总体而言，这次体验总体不错，有几个亮点。酒店本身非常干净，房间也散发着清新的香味。员工普遍热情周到，能够及时响应我们的需求，只要我们清楚地表达出来，他们就能迅速满足。我们聘请的摄影师尤其友善耐心。酒店位置便利，距离八达岭长城仅几步之遥。打车去机场（大约1小时20分钟车程）也很方便。然而，也有一些需要改进的地方。附近餐饮选择有限，最好自带食物。虽然酒店附近400米左右有一家餐厅，但食物质量一般。我们还发现酒店提供的预订服务价格偏高——是通常价格的三倍。最后，虽然员工总体上都很乐于助人，但最后一天，一位前台员工看起来有些疲惫，态度也不太礼貌，当我们询问泳池情况时，她明显地叹了口气。这虽然是个小问题，但还可以改进。枕头也特别高，可能会让颈椎或背部有问题的人感到不舒服。尽管有这些小缺点，我仍然推荐这家酒店。干净整洁、位置便利、员工乐于助人（大多数时候！），而且靠近八达岭长城，这些优点足以弥补不足。我会很乐意再次入住，下次会带上自己的零食，并且注意预订服务可能比较贵。我会给整体服务打8-10分（满分10分）。记住，为了获得最佳体验，一定要及时沟通你的需求！

I booked this hotel because other foreigners review. I booked this for my mom and my son. 68 years old and 15 years old. My mom said this hotel is far away from “EVERYTHING”. All restaurants, store, taxi, attractions are closed at 4PM daily. They arrived there 3:15PM. The entire hotel only have 4 people to stay. No dinner, no store, they have to beg the taxi driver to come back to take them because since there isn’t any people around taxi drivers don’t want to go this location either because it’s guaranteed empty trip home for them. Highly recommended NOT BOOKING here. They literally didn’t have a thing to do. Taxi guy was nice and took them to the night Great Wall tour in distance.

我订这家酒店是因为看了其他外国人的评价。我是给我妈妈和我儿子订的，他们一个68岁，一个15岁。我妈妈说这家酒店离“所有地方”都很远。所有餐厅、商店、出租车、景点每天下午4点就关门了。他们下午3点15分就到了。整个酒店只有4个人住。没有晚餐，没有商店，他们不得不求出租车司机再来接他们，因为周围没什么人，出租车司机也不愿意来这里，因为肯定是空车送他们回去。强烈建议不要订这家酒店。他们真的无事可做。出租车司机人很好，带他们去了附近的夜游长城。

Overall disappointed with this hotel and would not recommend it. The location was decent, and the room itself was nice, but overall far too expensive for what you get. I was disappointed that several advertised amenities were not a reality. For example, they do not have private parking - they told me to park in the public lot down the street. The pool was closed - they said the temperature was too low(it's June and we're in a heatwave?). We could not use the fire pit - there was a drought(Beijing is almost always in a drought, so when can you use the pit??). The AC did not work well - the room got up to 26 degrees at night and the hosts kind of gaslit us saying we weren't using it right (we were). The wifi was spotty and the show we tried to watch had to stop and buffer multiple times. The hot tub had several dead insects and debris in it which took a while to clean before we could use it. The water pressure was not good and the shower head had a nozzle that shot water over the shower wall and got the floor all wet. I don't want to sound needy, and I know some of these things were not the hosts fault, but this was the most expensive stay we've booked in China after living here for 2 years and it was simply not worth the high price. If it was half the price we paid we maybe wouldn't have minded the flaws as much.

总体来说，我对这家酒店非常失望，不会推荐。酒店位置还算不错，房间本身也还可以，但性价比太低。很多宣传的设施都名不副实，让我很失望。比如，他们没有私人停车场，让我停在街边的公共停车场。泳池关闭了，他们说水温太低（现在是六月，正值热浪期？）。我们没法使用篝火坑，因为当时正值旱季（北京几乎常年干旱，篝火坑什么时候才能用啊？）。空调也不好用，晚上房间温度高达26度，酒店老板还敷衍我们说我们没正确使用（我们用得很对）。无线网络信号不稳定，我们想看的节目经常卡顿缓冲。热水浴缸里有很多死虫子和杂物，我们花了很长时间才清理干净。水压很低，淋浴喷头的喷嘴会把水喷到淋浴墙上，弄得地板湿漉漉的。我不想显得太矫情，也知道有些问题并非房东的错，但这确实是我们在中国生活两年以来订过的最贵的住宿，实在是不值这个价。如果价格只有一半，或许我们也不会那么在意这些瑕疵了。

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Zhaohua Homestay, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the very beginning, the staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. They added us on WeChat a week prior to our arrival, where they promptly answered all our questions and even sent us detailed location information. This proactive communication made us feel welcomed and well-prepared for our stay.The homestay itself is just as beautiful as the pictures on their website. When we entered our room, we were immediately impressed by how cozy it felt. The temperature was perfectly set, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the room smelled clean and fresh, which was a lovely touch.One of the highlights of our stay was the hot spring water—soothing and warm, which was exactly what we needed given the unexpected snowy weather. In the evening, they kindly offered us hot milk or soup to help us unwind, and in the morning, a delicious Western breakfast with fresh orange juice was delivered right to our door. It was such a thoughtful and special touch.An added bonus was the stunning view from the courtyard, where we could see the Great Wall! The homestay is within walking distance of a less crowded area of the Great Wall, where we paid just 35 RMB per person to experience it. It was beautiful and peaceful, offering the perfect opportunity to truly admire the historic site without the usual crowds.The location itself is perfect for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The air is fresh, and at night, the stars are visible, adding to the tranquility of the area. It’s incredibly quiet, making it the ideal place to relax and recharge.Overall, I had an amazing experience at Zhaohua Homestay, and I would definitely visit again. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with exceptional service, breathtaking views, and a beautiful setting, this place is an absolute gem.
