月亮湾海景酒店

I stayed for the second time at the Moon Bay Seascape Hotel. Not much had changed since the previous visit two years earlier. As it was not holiday season, the hotel was not very busy. The view from the seaside rooms is nice, as the hotel is by the beach. I wouldn't go swimming, as the water is not that clean, but I saw locals going in. The hotel does not have non-smoking rooms, which may be an issue to some. All rooms I have been in have a smell, but there is a balcony on the seaside rooms, so you can get fresh air there. Previous time I didn't have a problem, but this time it was quite cold in the room - there was a thermometer in the room that showed 18-19 degrees Celsius (64-66 F). I asked if temperature could be increased, but with no luck.||||The room is in OK shape, with some traces of mold in the bathroom. The bed is, as typical in China, very hard. Internet connection was free, but the wireless did not work very well in the seaside room. Cabled internet was fast enough for Skype and video - of course the hotel is behind the Great Firewall, so not all Western internet services work. There were two free bottles of drinking water brought to the room every day.||||The hotel breakfast is 95% Chinese, with only toast and eggs, and three types of cereal with hot milk as Western options. The Chinese courses were tasty.||The hotel's 'Dining Center' had very good Chinese food. The lobby bar and lobby shop are average. Many other hotel services were not open during the low season.||||Around the hotel there are a few restaurants of which some were open and some being prepared for the upcoming tourist season. There are also a couple of grocery stores and a few other shops. Another Western visitor told me that during the summer there is an excellent barbeque on the beach. This time the beach restaurants and the little water park were still mostly closed. The surroundings of the hotel are clean and seem safe, and the landscaping is very nice, so it's possible to for example jog around the hotel area if wanting to have some exercise.||||As a curious detail, on one (weekday) morning there were fireworks being fired somewhere near the hotel for good half an hour continuously starting at 5.45 a.m. That about sleep that morning. Locals explained that it's a typical way to start a wedding celebration, and sometimes it can happen even earlier in the morning.

The hotel is big but, just like most other local star hotels in China, now-a-days there are few staffs and superiors knowledgeable enough to communicate with and properly serve the international / foreigner guests. Without knowledge of Chinese it will be difficult to order special foods - like more or less spicy than standard ones. Some of the staffs are very co-operative. A few of them truly tried to serve my specific requirements about food and other daily requirement about laundry and housekeeping. Best wishes for them. Hope the management of the hotel will reward and train those efficient members of their team.||The back side of the hotel is sea-beach. It's better to rent a room with full or partial sea view.

A very good Hotel, not much Western food, mostly Chinese Shandong type of food. A very good room and kept clean. The Staff speak little or no English, which at times, is very frustrating! ||It's best to go there in the Summer time, as in Winter time, all the local restaurants are closed and the place is desolate. After Chinese New Year, all the students return to Nanshan University and the place becomes "alive" again. I enjoyed my stay there and made some good friends

I might be more positive about this hotel if I could have posted this to TripAdvisor from there at the time. Sadly, the hotel wireless (and LAN) have decided they won’t give my laptop an IP address. Two Android phones are working on wireless as well as yesterday so …||This is a very large, older hotel right on the beach and next to a locally notable Buddha statue. The beach is small but seems to be popular. It is sandy rather than rocky as many China beaches are. ||The rooms are large and airy with high ceilings and have nice views on the ocean side with floor to ceiling doors and a small balcony. Beds are comfortable as are the pillows. Bathrooms are clean, modern and well equipped and have a separate drinkable water tap. But the air conditioning is primitive, essentially a cool air system with air temperature varying with workload. All you control is 3 fan speeds. But the biggest issue is power. There are few plugs to start with and they are mostly in use for lamps. And the plugs are the older style three crowfoot prongs under a double prong/pin socket. You need some type of adapter for any grounded plug and your item will not be grounded. And the TV is all CCTV not even BBC.||Food in the restaurant is very good for breakfast with a huge selection of Chinese and Eastern dishes. The Chinese restaurant was also quite good for lunch with mostly Chinese dishes. It was very tasty but a bit heavy on salt and garlic. Also, the service was inconsistent. Very good with dishes served pretty much together one day, slow and with long waits between dishes another.||Longkou is about an hour from Yantai. It is the home of much of the Nanshan Corporation and very much China in transition. There are some items of interest but not much near the hotel without a car and a guide.

海边的酒店，用餐的时候还可以看见海，海鲜很不错，餐厅是在一楼，正餐早餐都是以海鲜为主。要是公差出来办理的事情不着急的情况下住在这里还可以，但是有急事就不建议住在这里了，因为这里离着市区也要有十五分钟车程呢。附近购物不怎么样了，这一块离着南山大佛很近，这边全是南山集团的产业，东西都是相当贵的，都是意大利的品牌，没有听说过的。

我住过两次的，印象挺一般化的，比起里面的条件挺一般化的，主要是里面装修很简单，就是里面服务做的比较好，像吃饭呀打个电话很快就到位，周围环境还行，空气好，就在海边的，房间里就能看到海的。房间里窗户比家庭的大点，比落地的小点，我住的那间没有阳台的。他们主要问题就是服务态度方面有点欠缺似的，尤其那些服务员很不情愿一样的，比如说我们想买点东西吃，给他们客房打完电话之后，他们过来也不敲门就进来，然后很不客气的就把东西放到那里，我说谢谢吧他们也不回应，也不理，就直接走了，关门声音还挺大的，反正我就觉得这个记忆犹新吧，像好的或者不好的都会有印象的。里面卫生特别好，卫生间里一点味道都没有，有的话也是香味，就是特别洁净的感觉，这家装修比较简单，但是看起来以后特别舒服，看了就感觉像到了自己家里。离着商业街也挺近的，挺好的，他是在商业街的西边，吃饭的地方都挺多的，选择性比较多。保卫方面也做得挺好，我去了好几次都没听说过有打架的呀还有违规事故呀，安全性特别好。娱乐项目挺少，比较欠缺，只是夏天有烧烤店，但是卫生有点差异了，那边有些小孩子玩的，像有用的地方呀，沙滩车呀，其他也没什么，因为这里正在开发嘛。从我住的窗户下去以后就是海边了。他那个酒店是个弧形，外观看起来也挺高档的。离高尔夫球场挺近的，开车也就是四五分钟。相对来说整个龙口市这个酒店算是不错的了。

i cant fault the hotel very good food. Food mainly chinese with some western dishes included. Entrance and reception check in very grand, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and tidy. Hotel as a swimming pool and spa complex. Butmy only concern is the beaches,there are no lifeguards on the beaches and in the last 2 years 16 people have died on the beaches so if you have kids stay away from the beaches when I was there one person died, an old chinese man who had a heart attack and died. Nanshan need to make the beaches safe ???

我挑不出这家酒店的食物非常好。食物主要是中餐，也有一些西餐。入口处和接待处登记入住非常宏伟，工作人员友好且乐于助人。房间干净整洁。酒店设有游泳池和水疗中心。但我唯一关心的是海滩，海滩上没有救生员，在过去的两年里，有 16 个人死在海滩上，所以如果你有孩子，请远离海滩，当我在那里的时候，有一个人死了，是一位中国老人，心脏病发作去世了。南山需要确保海滩安全吗？？？

四星级的很新很新的酒店，就在海边周围都很好，挺美的，那边风景是挺好的。在商岛对面吧，性价比不好，正好是旅游旺季的时候价格比较高，从酒店出来得走上十分钟到海边，出行挺不方便的，只有观光车没有公交车，打的也不好打。从酒店到市区有公交车但是很少的，离市区挺远的，特别适合渡假。但周边的饭店不少，吃海鲜的比较多。
